Default WWE Gives Danielson Dark Match at RAW..

Apparently a week ago..WWE gave Bryan a dark match against Lance Cade, which he won in 10 minutes. Considering how high many are on Cade..This could be a sign that the WWE is going after Danielson hard. JR has put him over huge on his blog. Danielson apparently declined a WWE offer a couple years ago..(I think he declined at least)..After having a tryout match with Cena..which is on youtube btw, if you want to check it out.

Thoughts?..I think Danielson would be a huge get for the WWE. He's not just some other cruiser weight..The guy can draw some real legit heat..And anyone who has seen him work doesn't need to be told of how spectacular he is.

Is the "Best in the world" coming to the WWE?

I hope so. Haven't seen alot of him but that Take No Prisoners match with him and aries was great. He's an amazing technical wrestler. My only query is whether WWE could book him properly considering how technical a wrestler he is.

Its like some of those other ROH guys who are great but do cruiserweight type moves which the WWE would think are too dangerous so wouldn't push them properly. Or the WWE would think of them as cruiserweights and hence not consider them worthy of decent pushes. I never ever got that. Just cos a guy does cruiserweight moves why he can't wrestle with heavyweights and get over.

HBK, Benoit, Eddie Guerrero (rip), Chavo, Owen Hart (rip), and Mysterio all say hello.

I saw the match. He did great and even though most of the crowd had no idea who he was he got some pops from his moves. He did an awesome suicide-dive through the ropes that people went nuts for.

He was billed as from Oakland, and before the end of the match people were chanting "Oakland!! Oakland!! Oakland!!"

I hope they sign him and book him like Benoit.

Mysterio still isn't really taken seriously, his title reign was made a mockery of. Eddie got over but never on a huge main event level, his title reign wasn't very long and didn't go over that well. HBK has a fairly heavyweight move set even if he is light weight. Chavo has never gotten a really decent main event push. Can't speak on Owen but he's another guy who strikes me as more of a heavyweight.

Eddy wasn't over on a huge main event level? Are you serious?

Regarding Danielson doing a dark match on Raw last week and beating Lance Cade, ROH knew he was going to be there and gave him permission. WWE was very impressed and a number of people including Jim Ross were telling people that the guy should be hired ASAP. Danielson worked AAA this weekend and was planning on either moving to Mexico or the UK this summer to get in as many dates as possible. Yes, he's under WWE contract, but anyone who thinks WWE couldn't take him if they wanted is crazy. ROH isn't going to court over this, and even if they did they'd lose so much money it wouldn't be worth it. They also might want to keep relations with WWE good and just give him to them if they wanted him. Ross is also among those who thinks WWE should hook up with ROH as a developmental territory. I think if Matt Sydal gets over, which he has done to a degree thus far, at least more than you'd expect for a small guy debuting on TV, that might be evidence that smaller, more spectacular wrestlers can work in WWE in 2008. They certainly don't have tons of guys just waiting to be called up from developmental. Remember back in the day when we used to say, "Man, I hope they don't bring up such-and-such up too early!" Those days are over. Now it's like, "Man, I hope they call up Colt Cabana soon." Developmental is a dismal place right now, and while it's not the WWE style, at least the ROH guys can undoubtedly work the style they knew extremely well.
