This is my first post in this forum in months (can't remember).

I haven't watched Friday Night Smackdown more than 2 years (can't remember the last episode).

Missing an episode of RAW was a travesty for me for years but since Wrestlemania 2007, I only watch RAW once or twice in a month.

Has anybody felt or gone through this kinda effect?

Wrestling is not as enjoyable as it was once before. But it's hard for me to completely forget about wrestling.

Unfortunately, yeah. I've felt that effect many times. I wish I could say that I've watched every week for my entire time as a wrestling fan, but that's far from the truth.

There's times when I think "hey, I've been watchin this stuff for most of my life, and nothing going on right now jumps out and grabs my attention, and it'll always be there next week, so who cares if I miss Raw" or somethin like that.

There's also times when I don't even think about wrestling, period.

It's hard to stay consistent and keep interest, but that's the ultimate goal as a fan. It's not hard, but it is hard, ya know.

I've never had to go through that.

No matter how bad wrestling gets I will continue to watch it because it's something I love,it's just something I've always found entertaining ever since I started watching about 10 years ago and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

I write this post now while wearing my Triple H King of Kings t-shirt,hell half of the t-shirts I own are wrestling tees so yeah I guess you could say it's a big part of who I am.

I feel pretty much the same. I feel until after Evolution broke wrestling wasn't as good as it was before.

They really need stables.

I liked it more when I was a kid with the attitude era and what not. Seemed to be alot more talent back then and the competition between shows really made things competitive and better for wrestling. But that being said I still enjoy the product atm and watch occasionally when I have time and get the odd PPV card that sounds good.

I go through cycles where I'm really digging the Product and watch RAW and SmackDown! and maybe every now and again miss a show but now I have IQ (Tivo) so I just record the shows and fast foward through the garbage...

I was thinkin about that yesterday morning. The Attitude Era, and how things have changed.

Mainly, I think alot of current online fans were young during the Attitude Era, and since then, alot of them have probably grown out of wrestling, and some are doing their best to hang on.

I don't know if the product is a huge factor, overall. You either like wrestling or you don't. Naturally, I prefer Austin/Rock over Cena/Orton, etc, but I can't take anything away from those guys, they're great in their own right.

Wrestling was more popular during the Attitude Era, atleast with my generation, the amount of active wrestling fans I knew as a kid is insanely larger than the amount I know nowadays. Wrestling was going through a revolutionary period because of what ECW had been doing on the independent circuit. Like you pointed out, there was honest-to-god competition in wrestling, because WCW had all the money and resources they needed to keep up. If anything, that's what made wrestling easier to pay attention to back in the days.

Damn, I wish I was like you, man. I honestly love wrestling, but I'm not as dedicated. Shit, last night I slept through Raw because I was exhausted.
