Default Too many belts

Just started watching WWE again over the last few months although i'd always kinda kept up to date with what was going down but the main thing i noticed was the ridiculous amount of belts?? i was just reading in a thread where someone was saying how the IC title isn't as important as it used to be and was also reading about how people think the tag divisions are crap and i agree but don't you think this is totally down to the ridiculous amount of belts in the company, i mean 3 champions is just daft, imo wwe cannot recreate wwf, wcw and ecw in 3 seperate shows it really doesn't seem to work. Was watching a video the other day about the monday night wars and wrestling bewtween 1996 and 2001 was really when it was peaking, since the invasion virtually nothing has come close to the attitude era and the few years that went before. If they remove some of these belts or at least give them a fucking point, can only americans win the us title? is the ecw belt always decided in hardcore matches? why did rey mysterio receive the heavyweight title!?! he's not exactly a heavyweight. yeah so anyway my point is there are too many belts across the comapany, there should only be one tag title too as there is definitely not enough talent to account for 2 in that division.

I admit, there are a lot of belts between the shows. However, Vince won't kill off any of the belts since he believes the brand split is still working. Plus, those titles still deserve some respect. The Intercontinental title and US title is a stepping stone for guys to get the Heavyweight title.

When you claim wrestling hasn't had anything close to the Attitude Era since the Invasion angle I would disagree.

I think when Goldberg entered WWE for his run WWE kind of hit a peak. I don't know how or why this came about but it did. 2002/2003 was the closest WWE has come to recreating the hype of the Attitude Era.

the WWE tried this before remember they got rid of the hardcore and IC titles but then 95% of the roster had nothing to shoot for

The mixture of Lesnar's rise and Goldberg's "reign" gave WWE a boost.

They should melt all the belts down and create one belt called "The Wrestling Master Champion of All Time" belt and they should give that belt to Cena

I don't think there are too many belts...why?..b/c each show is treated as a different 'company'..so the number of titles is good to me...4 on each show..1 for wwecw...it's ok to me.
