Last week on ECW on Sci Fi, Bobby Lashley scored the victory over Hardcore Holly, but Holly was the last man standing alongside Snitsky. The Alabaman and the deranged Snitsky obliterated Lashley and left he ECW World Champion flat on his back. Lashley has the chance get some form of retribution this week as he collides with Holly in an Extreme Rules Match. Will the champion prevail? Will the shadow of the towering monster Snitsky be looming over the Land of the Extreme again this week?

When Mr. McMahon visited ECW on Sci Fi two weeks ago, Eljiah Burke took on all but one of the remaining ECW Originals. Last week, Burke made sure to give Rob Van Dam the experience he was missing out on. McMahon’s favorite Extremist picked up the victory with the help of Matt Striker, Kevin Thorn and Marcus Cor Von, but Tommy Dreamer, Sandman and Sabu raided the ring to make them pay. Everywhere Burke goes, controversy follows. What will happen this week?

In earlier action, Cor Von defeated Balls Mahoney while Thorn pinned Dreamer. Has an all-out war broken out between the Originals and the new breed?

PERSONALLY, I'm loving that Vince is jobbing RVD out, because now RVD is actually motivated to put on good matches.

I think his mentality before was that he was going to win, and he'd get by on how strong his spots are.

Now I think his mentality is that he's not going to win, so he needs to give his fans everything they paid to see in the time that's allotted to him

I actually like it.

But to be honest, Vince has to knock that shit off if he hopes to keep RVD. And if RVD goes, Vince's pocketbook will be the only thing keeping ECW above water until he caps it.

RVD > ECW.

Don't make me start watching TNA regularly, Vince.

RVD is probably the only wrestler other than The Rock who would make me do that. Don't fucking do it, Vince...

decent show

snitsky stays out of the main event lashley feud, and the extreme rules match wasnt even the main event at all - good stuff

i like that theyre pre-recording lashley promos and not putting him on live with those.

the new breed wins both tag matches, but both are half decent.

cm punk back on tv with a decent match with knox, and then a snitsky post-match anihilation type thing.

decent show imho

How many times will Lashley win without being touched?..I thought they were pushing Holly as the "top heel?"..Kind of hard for that to work when he gets owned over and over.

Lashley is being shoved down our throats more than Cena for christs sakes. Hell..They even took time out of the show so he could explain half of his Brock Lesnar entrance. Goodness.

well, they went outside the ring, and lashley got a table out, and get this - holly took control (still outside) and FOLDED THE TABLE BACK UP AND PUT IT BACK UNDER THE RING :-P

they went to commercial in the middle of the match and came back and there was a chair in the ring that holly was using.

they had to show replays and probably whisper to holly to do the chairstunt again (it was one of those 'set up the chair and drop his face on it' kinda deals.

he set the chair up inbetween turnbuckles too, and lashley reversed it and swung holly into it.

and later on lashley dropped holly on the chair.

at one point lashley set the table up outside the ring again but NO ONE WENT THROUGH IT.

my vote is for extremely lame.

i will say this, they did let holly get a little bit of an offensive, but the least they could have done, like the_one said, is something like make it a non-extreme rules match and have him get dq'ed for excessive beating or something.

the thing about holly vs lashley is that i guess they just don't have anyone to feud with bobby at the top?

he's supposed to be on smackdown on friday, should be interesting...? (i didn't read for spoilers yet)

The WSX (Wrestling Society X) rating was a .5.

The way I see it, McMahon doesn't want, as he described as, bad workers off the ECW brand scattered across the Mania card, so it looks like he's possibly gonna lump them in a Survivor Series style tag match (probably with little time) to settle the score between the originals and the new breed.

What about Punk?
The originals I assume will be heels, Punk (I think) is the only member of the new breed (with the exception of Lashley) who is a face.

I hope he doesn't get lost in the shuffle, however, it looks like it's already happened.

As for the feud, it should be, if done correctly, be a boost to the brand, there is the option of interchangable opponents between the Originals & the New Breed, which thus far ECW hasn't had the option of doing, so that should help the story keep moving and keep it fresh, which is what ECW needs at the minute.

And yes, this feud could be a big boost the brand. This feud could be the first step on the road to ECW legitimacy. However, I don't trust Vince's "creative braintrust" as far as I can crap them.

my original idea by the way was mentioned in a rumor on wrestlezone's site, that heyman would come back and lead the 'ecw originals'
