Default Vince McMahon

I am 100 percent aware of everything this guy did that has made this business what it is, and more notably, what it isn't - namely dead. Actually, I am not 100 percent aware- I know there has to be tons of stuff he is responsible for that I just don't realize.

I also am familiar with the fact that this guy, while extremely successful, extremely rich, and could be extremely fine walking away or working behind the scenes at any time, still continues to put himself on the line in ridiculous ways - from wicked shots taken to allowing his face to be shoved in a 500 pound ass in front of millions of people, live.

THAT BEING SAID

I'm sorry, I'm getting sick of it. Decision after decision as of late isn't in ANYONE'S best interests. At least with a lot of what he used to do, you could see that it was 'for the fans', or 'to respect the veterans', or, most commonly, 'to gain publicity' or 'to try to increase ratings'/'to try to sell something/maximize profits' - whether it be ticket sales, ppv buyrates, tv viewership, new endeavors like the film industry, or merchandise.

And I'm sure there's a lot he's done recently that I may be overlooking or am just not aware of that was a logical, correct, sound decision.

But I find myself, and I see more and more others here posting stuff like 'vince wtf?'

Just going over some recent stuff:

-The HBK/Vince is God angle
I guess trying to create some easy Vince heat, but as many deep south/midwest people there are who are 'Christian by association' or whtever - there just aren't too many wrestling fans that care too much about God, imho. Even if the number is large, the percentile has to be small. I'd put it at less than 10, wouldn't be a stretch to call it less than 5. And then going on and using crap like fireworks to make it look like God won't let him in the ring? I duno?

-Bringing back ECW only to turn it into WWECW.
We've had endless discussion that ECW couldn't have, in fact could never be, what it was before. Everyone realizes this, no one disagrees. Well I'm sure someone disagrees, but their head is probably up their arse. What DOESN'T make sense are all the routes they took to turn it into the pathetic promotion it is today. From the very start in pairing it with smackdown and that fanbase and expecting ANY kind of reaction from them, to keeping the old school ecw'ers to lame midcard jobbers save a few cases (ANOTHER argument that we've had before - yes i know sandman/dreamer/etc aren't consistent main event guys - not the point), to having DQS and making it out like the 'extreme' matches, which do not rate anywhere near any extreme matches from the past, to bringing in lame raw and smackdown 'superstars' that no one cares about.
I'm not saying ECW could have been what it was before, what I'm saying is what they did with it is absolute crap.

-This latest crap with Rosie and Donald is just a little thing that we'll all forget about in a week or two.

But the point is, 'this latest crap' where we go ahead saying 'what a piece of junk' seems to be happening more and more frequently.

-

I'm not sure what exactly there is as far as changes that could make an impact. I'm not sure that, if there were, Vince would go for it.
But I sure know that the shows lately just haven't been very good...

I didn't care for the Rosie/Trump thing, but the rumor is that the real Trump is going to be involved in some kind of storyline if they can work out the numbers. So i guess I see where he was going with this. However, it was pretty fucking stupid. The ECW thing was a failure to begin with. They should have just kept it as a one time a year thing. And the Vince/God angle well with the WWE it doesn't surprise me.

Yeah I think its almost time for Vince to pass the torch he is losing his touch i na lot of ways. He needs to start giving more creative control to the future owners of the buisness. Shane, Stephanie and Hunter. His decisions and movements in running the company definitly seem to be increasingly questionable.

you can bitch about him showing his ass, you can bitch about trump Vs. Rosie, you can bitch about having his then future son-in-law fuck a mannequin, but when it comes down to it, you're still watching his Programming, and that's all he cares about. to quote a book title, "Controversy Creates Cash"

You know I stood by the WWE when the gay wedding between Billy and Chuck took place, I stood by the WWE during the Katie Vick fiasco, I stood by the WWE during the Al Wilson/DawnMarie love affair- and the list goes on: Eric Bischoff introducing his retarded nephew Eugene, Eddie Guerrero kidnapping Rey Mysterio's kid or whatever the hell that was about, Vince McMahon starting his own religon, Mcmahon starting a cartoon about his ass but this Rosie vs Donald Trump thing was the last straw. I refuse to watch any WWE programing until something good happens

i honestly didn't think that was as bad as alot of the other things the WWE has done. if they continue this however, and Have trump return to wrestle Barbara Walters next week, then i may have to stick with Smackdown, where at least they have decent wrestling there.

those things up there are just a few examples, and others have added a lot.

it's not that these examples exist. i duno, they just seem more FREQUENT and vince seems, at least according to junk i read, that he's not sure why people aren't interested.

who did rosie and donald generate interest for? the wwe fan hated it. the mark didn't care. the casual observer was uninterested. rosie and donald didn't acknowledge it. whats the point?

Even Vince seems shocked at Rosie vs Donald during the match.
Bet he was thinking about how good it looked on paper.
