The thing I'm wondering is if Raw and Smackdown have the same writing teams...I would assume so, but if anyone know's it would be great.

I know they either suck outright or are completely out of good ideas and have been for quite a while.

I think they are Mrs. Johnson's fourth grade creative writing class.

Sometimes I think the WWE and the WWF are working together in a highly funded experiment to see weather or not chimpanzees can write a quality wrestling story line.

Default Ok now some of you are getting silly

The creative writing team is under the control of Stephanie Mc Mahon...Paul Heyman is really involved in the writing for Smackdown..There is a name on the news board of one of the writers that is on Raw...If your searious to want it. Go find it.That would be three of them if you really are interested...Im sure there are a few more.

I think I should ammend my previous post slightly. The writing staff does have a difficult job trying to come up with fresh and innovative ways to package a product which has been on TV since the 1950's. However, they seem to be making very poor choices these days:

Too many different types of wrestlers/styles. Fortunately, they did put most of the little guys on Smackdown. It's stupid to try and mix cruiserweights with big guys. Did you watch Chuck and Billy wrestle Shane Helms and Shannon Moore? That was sad! Two guys the size of pro football players trying to job to junior high kids. In the Rey/Torrie vs. Noble/Nidia match, did anyone else notice that both of the women were bigger than the guys? Hell, even on Nitro, the squirts were in the first hour.

No real feuds. Most feuds are only thought up to be one single match at the next PPV. Realizing that PPVs are a major cash cow for the WWE, that doesn't forgive the lack of a little short term planning. It shows a marked lack of commitment and a tremendous lack of faith towards the talent.

Women wrestlers are T &A only. Yes, I know that some internet smarks will disagree with me, but the fact remains that women in a tradional wrestling role have never been good draws. However, if the WWE disagrees with that, then they should make a concerted effort to portray the women as genuine wrestlers instead of mixing and matching. In my opinion, the best job of utilizing women in wrestling was by the ECW. They were mainly eyecandy with frequent catfights with each other. They didn't mix it up with the men and they were good for the T & A effect.

1000 chimps banging on typewriters only get you so far.

Especially where all the keys on them are the letter H.

They really should sneak into the boards and at least read what we think.
There's a couple of fresh ideas they can steal.

You guys are sad. Please, leave the lousy jokes to Craig Kilborn and smarten up for once. To answer your question, the RAW writing team is headed by failed sitcom writer Brian Gerwitz and the Smackdown writing team is headed by washed-up "Extreme wrestling" guru Paul Heyman. Stephanie and Vince McMahon get the final say on both writing groups.

Steph is head honcho pretty much, only person above her is her dear old dad Vince, Paul Heyman has imput for storylines, Brian Gerwitz is another writer on the team and HHH (Other Paul) has some say in storylines as well, part of the reason people resent him a bit although he is a good worker...As far as I know its the same writing team situation like whose in charge wise but they have a few different writers for both shows but they all check in with each other to make sure the steph/bischoff fued stuff works out accordingly.
