Default The Big Show Appreciation Thread

Big show fan's are on the Virge of being extinct, I'm one of the last one's on the net today and I want to take this time to appreciate the top heel on SD.

Ever since Paul jumped ship to the Rocks former show SD he has done a FANTASTIC job, earing each dollar of his 10 million dollar contract. The Big show is one of the few wrestlers left in the WWE that actually deserve's the "holly shit" chant's, he's done some real sick shit this year, the first man to pin Brock on live TV, he has 3 pins on Brock this year alone! Big show benched both Taker and Brock off the stage, he threw Rey Rey 7 rows into the crowd then put him on a stretcher and slammed him on the post!! Big show was responsible for the ring collapse last month and he just chokslammed Brock from the stairs to the announce table, all this is what I call great entertainment.

- Wight arrived in World Championship Wrestling as The Giant and quickly joined Jimmy Hart's Dungeon of Doom.
- On October 29, 1995, it appeared The Giant won the WCW title from Hulk Hogan via disqualification. Hart had a stipulation added to the match that the title could change hands on a disqualification, however, since Hart caused the disqualification himself, the title was held up.
- At WCW's Clash of the Champions XXXII, The Giant and Ric Flair defeated Hogan and "The Macho Man" Randy Savage.
- The Giant defeated Lock Ness at the 1996 Uncensored.
- On April 22, 1996, The Giant captured the WCW title from Flair in Albany, GA.
- At the World Wrestling Peace Festival '96, The Giant defeated Sting.
- On the August 26, 1996 edition of "Nitro," The Giant joined the New World Order.
- The Giant won the 1996 World War III 3 ring, 60-man battle royal. Earlier that evening, The Giant defeated Jeff Jarrett.
- The Giant defeated Lex Luger at the 1996 Starrcade in Nashville, TN.
- The Giant and Luger defeated "Hollywood" Hogan and Dennis Rodman at the 1997 "Bash at the Beach."
- When Kevin Nash formed the nWo Wolfpac, Wight joined Hogan's nWo Hollywood faction.
- Sting and The Giant teamed up to beat the Outsiders on May 17, 1998 at "Slamboree," for the WCW World Tag Team title.
- Sting ended up with the Wolfpac, which meant The Giant and his new tag team partner were on enemy factions.
- Scott Hall and The Giant defeated Nash and Sting on the July 20, 1998 edition of "Nitro," capturing the WCW Tag Team title.
- Wight left WCW in 1999, and signed a reported ten-year contract with the World Wrestling Federation.
- Wight made his WWF debut at the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" during a steel cage match involving Steve Austin and Vince McMahon. Wight emerged through the ring, and tossed Austin into the fencing, landing the "rattlesnake" on the arena floor for the victory.
- Upon his arrival in the WWF, Wight became a member of Mr. McMahon's Corporation, and was renamed The Big Show.
- The Union (Wight, Foley, Shamrock, and Test) defeated Faarooq, Bradshaw, Viscera and the Big Bossman at the 1999 "Over the Edge."
- At the 1999 Fully Loaded PPV, The Big Show defeated Kane.
- The Undertaker and The Big Show defeated Kane and X-Pac at the '99 Summerslam for the WWF World Tag Team title in Minneapolis, MN.
- On September 7, 1999, The Undertaker and The Big Show again claimed the WWF Tag Team title, this time from Mankind and The Rock in a "buried alive" match.
- The Big Show overcame Triple H and The Rock in a three-way match at the 1999 Survivor Series to capture the WWF title.
- At Armageddon '99, The Big Show successfully defended the WWF title against the Big Bossman.
- With the assistance of Shane McMahon, The Big Show defeated The Rock for a WWF title shot at Wrestlemania 2000.
- At Backlash 2000 in Washington, D.C., Wight, dressed as Hulk Hogan, and defeated Kurt Angle.
- In the summer of 2000, the WWF assigned Wight to Ohio Valley Wrestling for conditioning.
- The Big Show returned to the WWF at the 2001 Royal Rumble, entering the battle royal at #23.
- At No Way Out '01 in Las Vegas, The Big Show captured the WWF Hardcore title from Raven.
- On the May 21, 2001 edition of "Raw" in San Jose, CA, The Big Show defeated Rhyno for the WWF Hardcore title.
- On July 26, 2001, The Big Show and Shane The Glamour Boy defeated Russ McCullough and Test for the IWA Puerto Rico promotion.
- At the Rebellion '01 PPV in Manchester, England, The Big Show downed Diamond Dallas Page.
- On March 3, 2002, The Big Show and Kane defeated the Dudley Boyz in Singapore.
- On the April 22, 2002 episode of "Raw," The Big Show turned against Austin and rejoined the New World Order.
- It was announced on the October 21, 2002 edition of "Raw" that The Big Show had been traded by general manager Eric Bischoff to "Smackdown."
- At Survivor Series '02, The Big Show used outside interference from Paul Heyman (who turned on Brock Lesnar) to capture the WWE title from Lesnar in New York, NY.

I'll give big show his props for picking it up the last year or so. Before that he was doing all that stupid "Shonan The Barbarian" crap. IMO, it looks like the best that ever happened to him was getting back to OVW and learning how to use his size and strength, and with the visciousness that he's been using since teaming with Paul Heyman and not taking any crap, he's become a better talent.

He was pinned by Zach Gowen, and his career or what was left of it just flushed. I was a big time fan of him until he left wcw for the wwf*e*.

Well he didnt lose clean to Gowen, it was a handicap match and Angle interfeared but the fact that he agreed to lose to an amputee proves that he's a good worker and is willing to put anyone over.
