Lightbulb SmackDown was about 10 Times Better Than Raw

I am gonna have to say that Smack Down Tonight was one of the best shows I've seen from the WWE in months, I mean they just had wrestling. They had about 20 minutes total backstage (if that), and the rest of the show was just pure wrestling, showing a lot of great talent and pushing others at the same time. Just about every match that i saw tonight was good, even the Brock v. Who ever he is (doesn't have my respect). The Jamie Noble match was a good re-enforcement to the credabilty of the cruiserweight division and even Taker tonight stepped it up (only cuase he is still embaressed about Benoit & Angle out wrestling him last week). He made Hogans leg drop look stupid and childess since he did it much better, did you see the air he got?

The only bad thing was that stupid Chuck and Billy shit, really what the hell is the WWE going with this. It is truely un-called for, there really is no point of having an angle were two people get married, especially when their off the same sex....Parents are probely going nutz as we speak

I'm glad you liked Smackdown! I liked both shows, but I personaly think the "bed room pillow fight match" would be ten times worse to parents than the Chuck and Billy thing.

Well as a parent I can at least tell ya how I feel.I remember way back when I was a kid watching wrestling with my dad there were alot of great times came out of it,for example the first time Hogan was on tv,watching Andre,Rick Flair and Dusty Rhoads man those were the days. Now as I sit watching WWE and my daughter ask but Mom how come I can't watch it with you I wonder how do I tell her it's because it's to dirty now.I miss the days when wrestling was truley about the sport and not what it has becme today.

I was very disappointed in the Billy/Chuck wedding storyline. The compromise I worked out with my wife is that my sons could watch Smackdown while it was playing, but that we would tape Raw and edit out the inappropriate material. That worked out fine until this week. Fortunately, I read the spoilers so I had a head's up.

Overall, I've found less and less enjoyment out of the shows since they left USA and went to the Viacom Networks (I believe that's who owns all of the stations-except UPN, of course.) When Raw was on USA, they had a show on Saturday afternoon that was toned down to exclude all of the sexual material. Unfortunately, those days are gone.

Personally, It doesn't bother me that the WWE tries out new storyline (although I really hate this particular one). As an adult, I am fully aware that I can change the channel at any time. But it really bothers me that something that once held some value as "family entertainment" is becoming more and more Jerry Springer type programming.

It won't take too many more storylines like this and we'll be finding something else to watch on Thursday night.

Overall, the show would have been pretty good, but that angle in the first hour of the show really put me out.

I say just let the kids watch it. It's not like there is going to be hardcore porn on WWE. They probably are too young to even know whats going on, and if not, so what, they are going to have to learn about all of this sometime. There is no point to prolonging the inevitable.

smackdown last night if not for the billy and chuck thing(which i'm still trying to block out by the way) would of been one of the best smackdowns ever. Brock was damn impressive, i dont think there was a bad match........wait, there wasnt a bad match. Crashes smackdown debut match was very good also. Match of the night was Matt hardy and hardcore holly, and we all know what the funniest moment was( Eddie G trying to make friends HEHE). Overal i would rate it 9/10, if not for the wedding thing, it would of been perfect.

i really hope that one goofy storyline like chuck and billy wont ruin wrestling for people who have loved it for so long...this storyline is nothing but sillyness...a way to get people to laugh and catch peoples attention

you know what storyline made me stop watching wrestling for two years...anytime stone cold steve assface was on tv...he ruined wrestling for me...it wasnt until a year or so ago that i could finally sit and watch wrestling again...i just put everything in perspective...and i regret misiing what many refer to as the best era of wrestling ever (tho i wholeheartedly disagree)

if you want to talk about innappropriate smackdown programming first read mick foley's book Foley is Good: And the Real World is Faker than Wrestling

you lot are kidding yourselves. you arethe biggest bunch of wanker homophobes that i have ever had to listen too. so what your sayin is that it was ok for test to ask out steph. thats cool. and its k for the king to make googoo eyes over the chicks thats cool. and its k for nidia to give michael coleslaw a hand job on screen butr the billy and chuck stuff .......... yuck thats gross. at least the wwe isnt gonna be like the wwa where they had leni and lodi practically dry humping in the ring. and anyone who says its gonna screw up there careers is kiddin themselves........... ok maybe using the assman for this skit did screw him up but palumbo can get out. its meant to appeal to the gay community and anyone else who isnt a homophobe. i havent seen smackdown yet but geez that will prob be the BEST thing to come outta the wwe in the last year except maybe the shame screwin up his leg.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I believe I clearly stated that it was timing of the storyline that bothered me most. I could care less what any program contains once my sons are asleep.

Can't speak for everyone either but the Test and Steph angle was just as gay, it was lame and i didn't care if they got married the same way i don't care if Billy and Chuck get married, its just why do we have to see this shit, when a match with Justin Credable v. Mike Awsome would have been better to watch in the time wasted on this dumb ass angle

Im pretty sure the gay wedding will be crashed by someone or another, as for Smackdown {the rock's show} i have been saying it for week's they have better talent than the Raw roster even with out the 2 icon's Hogan and the Rock Smack down prevail's and i liked the interview with Taker and Brock, Heyman did a good job with the family angle, and watch out for Devon to deffect to Raw some time soon.
