I dont blame the Rock for wanting to quit cause the guy has what it takes to be a HUGE movie star. The Rock already acomplished everything he could in the WWE, he is the most popular athlete in wrestling history and now he has a chance that few have and he's taking it.

Yeah, but I think it's gonna suck if he leaves. Like him or not, he's money for WWE, and imo, never once really had a boring match.

I would really be indiferent. It would just give one more open spot for a new main-eventer. But if he leaves, he better not come crawling back after his Hollywood career is over, because the fans won't have it.

Yea right, i think i heard that same kind of shit when Hulk Hogan left for the big screen. Anyway, we know that the WWE will let quiters back in. Look at the way they are groveling for Stone Cold.

Um, ok. Firstly Hogan's hollywood career did not last very long at all and all his movies were bombs (except for Rocky III, which was pre-Hulkamania). Rock is already a sucessful movie star, his debut starring movie brought in a truckload of cash. It was the most sucessful movie of that summer. Movie goers are looking at him like the new Arnold. Rock if he chooses this option could have a very long movie career ahead of him, which means he could be gone for like 10 or more years. You really think after being gone for that long, the fans will accept him back with open arms? I don't think so, they'll think he abandoned them. And Hulk Hogan was way bigger then the Rock in the wrestling world. You can sit here and say thats not true, but 9 million people have never turned on thier television sets to watch the Rock on a wrestling program.

I'm not the biggest Rock fan in the world, but he makes the show better. I wouldn't want him to leave.

That s a good news for both Dwayne Johnson and the WWE.
For Johnson, lots of money and fame are coming from now to the next few years.
For the WWE because it will make them thinking about how replacing him in the main event area and they will have to elevate a new guy in the process for that .
So , I hope this news is for real and that we ve already have seen the last of "the rock" in a wrestling ring

Nicely said. The thing that people forget is that The Rock is human and also a BUSINESS man and if The Rock sees a huge opportunity to become a bigger star than he already is then he will take it(wouldn't you?!). The Rock has a chance to make 10 million dollars from one movie each time, he doesn't even make this kind of money in a year from working at the WWE and even if he does he will have to work a whole year and travel which can get tiring and also costly. The Rock saw a big opportunity and he took it. Yes he'll be missed but it his decision and just the same as other legendary wrestlers than have come and gone, we'll just have to get used to the WWE without the great one.

I wouldn't be so anti-Rock if they didn't give him the belt everytime he leaves for 6 monthes or more. They're guys that bust tail in the ring every night and they don't even get one run with it.

Or, has anyone considered that this story could be as full of shit as most of the rumors and articles on the internet, including the ones on this site? I have read all kinds of shit, but that just sounded tooooo far fetched, not to mention the things that The Rock would have had to sign off on and verify before this was written by an actual reporter. I highly doubt it's authenticity.

I doubted the validity of the story too. Looks like Rock wouldnt tell exactly what he was doing. And I dont know if Rock bought the name or not, looks to me like the guy just took all the rumors we talk about here, roll into a big story and post it, Ill believe it when I see it.

I think we were debating what if it was true. People who believe internet rumors are pretty gullible.
