Default Too Cool in TNA

Quote:
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that TNA had a meeting with former WWE Superstar Rikishi about reforming the highly popular WWE Tag team "Too Cool". It is said that Rikishi would be paired up with Brian Christopher if they do decide to bring the former WWE tag team into TNA.

The other former Too Cool member, Scotty 2 Hotty is a free agent at the moment living in Orlando, Florida. TNA has not brought up his name yet as only Christopher was mentioned specifically. If they do decide to sign Scotty 2 Hotty it will be an actual stable in TNA. This stable will for sure be one crowd hyping to get the crowd going. It will possibly get TNA better ratings as well since Too Cool was a fan favorite.
Personally, I love Too Cool, & Scotty 2 Hotty in particular, and would love to see them back/reformed.

However, it would look bad for TNA to hire two WWE jobbers; one who has been released for a while with zero interest, and the WWE's top jobber for the past decade.

Another lame way to try and get ratings... And TNA fans say WWE is living in the past. TNA is trying to steal WWE's past

Too Cool owned back in 1999/2000.

I remember popping huge watching them dance at Backlash 2000.

That was last weekend

What the hell happened to Rikishi??? It's like, Hunter had him run over Austin and it was the death of his career. Oh well, only so many fat boys can be on the roster at once

And the worm sucks.

The worst is when A-Train was the "Hip-Hop Hippo" with Scotty Too Hotty in which was confirmed to be Train's most hated storyline when I spoke with his wife when they both came to this open mic I hosted a few years ago.

Desperation on both ends really. TNA needs to make decisions in order to boost their popularity and ratings and Too Cool need to pay the bills, so yeah both sides are desperate and have come up with this shit. They'll be prodfessional jobbers, just like in WWE, but atleast they'll get paid a little i guess and if they sleep in they van they'll save money on renting motel each time.

WWE marks are speaking the truth when it comes to TNA trying to get quick ratings. Look at the roster, over 70% of their talent used to be in WWE.

They are showcasing people such as Steiner, Tomko, Cage, Angle, and Team 3D. I can't remember the last time I saw Chris Sabin or Alex Shelley on Impact. They have great stars like Kaz and Martyr, and look where they are. A poor man's bondage gimmick. Then there are stars like Senshi and Sonjay Dutt who are forced to take a backseat, while TNA's creative team completely turns Abyss into the 21st century Barney. They signed Basham and Damaja who are nothing more than a waste of time and continue to use teams like 3D and VKM who are way past their prime, while up-and-comers are left in the shadows.

Now they are going to sign 3 stars, which had a gimmick that worked in the late 90s... and why are they doing this? To gain a new audience. The casual wrestling fan watches WWE, TNA wants to lure them by using these "stars."

It's almost a "Hey look who we have, come watch us" theory.

It could work though. You get more people watching your shows, then push your real talents. Your Sabans, your AJ Styles, your Daniels, etc.

I admit I thought Too Cool was decent when they were new, but they got old fast. If they land the job with TNA thats good, they will have jobs. But I hope they dont get pushed heavily since TNA has others that should get pushed.

That really worked out in the long run with WCW too, didn't it?

Remember the "Old Age Outlaws"??

I liked Too Cool...but they were a joke. That's one of the things that was so fun about them was that they never took themselves too seriously.

But Kish isn't Mr. Charisma, Grandmaster Sexay (despite having the second best name in wrestling history) is a sad story because he's all yanked up on crank, and Scotty was...was...meh...at best.

I'm sure they'll love sleeping in their minivan and breaking their bodies for chicken feed in a dead end fed that'll be bought out by Vince in a couple of years after they go bankrupt.

Gotta be better than flipping burgers on the night shift at BK for minimum wage, right?

Late.
