THE CARD:

* Christian Cage vs. Kurt Angle for the NWA World title (Samoa Joe as the unofficial special enforcer)
* Sting vs. Abyss (prison yard match)
* LAX vs. Team 3D (little Italy street fight)
* Rhino vs. AJ Styles (Motor City chain match)
* Team Eckstein vs. Team Pierzynski
* X-division title match: Chris Sabin vs. Jerry Lynn
* James Storm/Miss Tennessee vs. Petey Williams/Gail Kim
* Senshi vs. Austin Starr
* Christy Hemme vs. Big Fat Oily Guy

PRE-GAME SHOW:

- Announcers hyped the PPV card.
- Backstage, they showed Angle and Samoa Joe arriving in the parking lot at 6:39PM. Angle had no comment, but Joe said he and Angle aren't on the same page, and cut a promo on Tomko and Scott Steiner. Joe said he gets his title shot at Destination X.
- In Jim Cornette's office, Christy Hemme wanted to know her opponent for tonight. Cornette said he wouldn't tell her, but said the match will be a tuxedo match. Oh boy. Hemme stormed out of his office.

A. Kazarian and Johnny Devine (with Maverick Matt) vs. Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal. Kazarian pinned Lethal at 5:15 when Maverick Matt hit a super kick when the referee wasn't looking. Raven came out and had Bentley, Kazarian, and Devine drop to their knees and caned each one.

- Announcers threw it to Leticia Cline, but it was JB walking with Alex Shelley into the men's locker room. Alex Shelley claimed he had taped Traci with Eric Young at a hotel. Kevin Nash was in the bathroom taking a leak. After Nash and Shelley left, Bob Backlund came in and asked if they were talking about pornography?

- Backstage, James Mitchell and Abyss were interviewed by JB. Mitchell pointed out what he has done for Abyss, but mentioned that Sting brought out Abyss' secret. Mitchell called Abyss a Moron, and told him to get lost. Abyss walked away.

- In the parking lot, Steiner arrived in a truck with Tomko. Steiner argued with Tomko, and said that he was hungry.

- Don West ran down the PPV card. Brother Ray came out and said he was ready, and wasn't going to wait for the PPV to start...

AGAINST ALL ODDS

1. Non-title/Little Italy Street Fight: Team 3D vs. LAX. LAX came up from behind as Team 3D was distracted by the appearance of Konnan in a wheelchair. They have TNA dancers/strippers in cages near the entrance ramp. Hernandez dove over the top rope, but D-Von smashed a chair over his head, which led to the first "TNA" chant. The early minutes of the contest was spent brawling outside the ring. Homicide used a pizza cutter on D-Von to cut him open. Brother Ray countered with a cheese grater. Latino nation did a run in, but it didn't phase Team 3D. Diving head butt by D-Von into Homicide's groin. Team 3D set up tables in the ring. Hernandez slammed Brother Ray through a table. Border toss by Hernandez on D-Von, and LAX wins at 9:25.

* Backstage, JB interviewed Austin Starr. He said he is the most complete wrestler in TNA. Backlund was walking around backstage. Starr insulted Backlund and walked way. Backlund removed his suit coat.

2. Senshi vs. Austin Starr. Fans did the "lets go Senshi, lets go Austin" chant as the match started. During the match, Tenay said JB is trying to get an interview with Christian Cage since Tomko and Scott Steiner appeared earlier to not be on the same page. Their is a group of fans in the front row wearing matching red and white softball team like t-shirts. At 8:22, Senshi pinned Starr as it appeared both men's shoulders were on the mat. After the mat, Starr flipped out and tossed chairs into the ring. On the mic, Starr demanded that the match be restarted. Backlund ran into the ring and verbally assaulted Starr. Starr slapped Backlund. Backlund puts Starr into his chicken wing and removes him from the ring.

* Backstage, JB interviewed Christian Cage. Tomko is still upset. Steiner comes in and said he is done with him. He is not working with Tomko. Cage played peace maker. Cage asked Tomko to apologize, but Steiner said he didn't want to hear it. Steiner said he is starting to want Cage as much as Angle. Cage told Tomko to fix the situation.

3. Tuxedo match: Christy Hemme vs. The Big Fat Oily Guy. Well, we told ya it was going to be the Big Fat Oily, whom was billed from Stamford, CT. Fans booed when Hemme started to remove the Big Fat Oily guy's clothes. Hemme wins the match at 2:27. TERRIBLE. As Hemme ranted on the mic, out comes Kip James. James removed Hemme's top, and said thats what fans came to see.

* Backstage, Shelley is showing a film to Leticia, Nash, Dutt and Lethal. Its a film showing Traci talking on the phone in a hotel room. As someone is knocking on the door, it says to be continued...

4. Lance Hoyt (with David Eckstein) vs. Dale Torborg (with AJ Pierzynski). On the outside, Pierzynski low blowed Hoyt as Eckstein protested. The red and white baseball t-shirts in the front row say Team Eckstein. Eckstein's brother is sitting at ringside wearing a Team Eckstein t-shirt. Pierzynski hit Hoyt with a chair as he climbed to the top rope. Torborg pinned Hoyt at 4:18. A second referee sees it, and restarts the match. Rick Eckstein used a chair on Torborg with the referee distracted, allowing Hoyt to pin Torborg moments later.

* The second segment of the Traci film aired. Shelley asked Nash what he thought of the first clip. Shelley told Nash he could found what happens next if he had read the Spoilers. In the video, Eric Young shows up with fake flowers, and a box of candies half eaten. Brooks starts stripping down Young and told him its her "first time" as well. Brooks asks Young to sign something before the "best night of his life."

5. Motor City Chain Match: AJ Styles vs. Rhino. Earl Hebner is the referee. Hebner locks the chain around the wrists of Styles and Rhino. AJ stalled early on, by leaving the ring. Rhino finally got wise and went after Styles. Styles went for the pole to secure the key, but Rhino pulled him back down. Rhino hit a spine buster, but Styles kicked out. Rhino climbed another poll, and brought down a night stick. Fans are flat for this one, in fact, I saw a fan in the front raw yawning. AJ countered and used the stick against Rhino. Styles got back up and secured the key from the poll and unlocked himself from the chain. AJ left the ring as if he was going to walk out again, but returned to the ring. AJ locked his end of the chain to the ropes, limiting Rhino's movement. Styles dangled the key over Rhino, but he hit a gore! Rhino couldn't get to the key, but Hebner kicked it to him. Rhino is now free of the chain as well. Rhino set up a table in a corner, and placed AJ against it. Rhino missed a gore, and went through the table himself. This allowed Styles to win at 15:07.

* Back to the Traci/Young film. Shelley asked his crowd what will happen next. In the film, Young said he shouldn't sign the contract. Traci removed some clothing, and Young signed the paper. She tells Young to keep his eyes closed and that she would be right back. She walks down a hallway and shows the paper to Bobby Roode. Backlund runs into the film room and goes nuts and chases everyone away.

6. X-division title match: Chris Sabin vs. Jerry Lynn. Fans are pro-Lynn, chanting "Jerry, Jerry." Sabin does his best to slow down the pace of the match in its early stages. Sabin's stragedy is to work on Lynn's back, making it difficult for the cradle piledriver. At the ten minute mark, its been all Sabin to this point. Lynn gained the upper hand with a pair of drop kicks on the X-division champion. Powerbomb by Sabin, but Lynn kicked out. TKO by Lynn, but Sabin kicked out. Lynn tried the cradle piledriver, but was unable to use it. Sabin used the ropes to pin Lynn at 13:33 to retain the X-division title. After the match, Sabin mocked Lynn with title belt.

- Destination X promo aired.
- Backstage, they showed Samoa Joe leaving Kurt Angle's dressing room.

- Here comes Robert Roode and Miss Brooks to the ring. "Robert Roode is a very happy man," says Roode on the mic. He said Miss Brooks finally did something right. Roode introduces the newest member of Roode, Inc. - Eric Young (wearing his don't fire Eric t-shirt). Fans chant "Eric, Eric." He said fans sees themselves when they look at Young. He runs down the fans and Young, as Young got upset and grabs the mic. Roode grabs the mic, and points out he is now apart of them. Roode said if Young struck him, he would take away the fans and his job, the two things Young liked the most. Roode told Young he'll learn it "pays to be roode."

* Backstage, JB interviews Cage and Tomko again. Cage said everything is fine. He said its JB trying to find some sort of "story." Cage (talking to Angle) said its not 1994 anymore, its 2007. Cornette came in and reminded Cage that the NWA title can change hands on a DQ.

7. James Storm & Miss Tennessee vs. Petey Williams & Gail Kim. I guess they are calling Jacqueline "The Pride of Tennessee" Jackie Moore now. The announcers are really starting to push the two hour special Monday night. Eye of the storm on Williams by Storm. It appeared that when Williams backdropped Moore, she briefly popped out of her top. Great drop kick by Kim on Jackie, but Storm made the save. Kim was bumped by Storm, allowing Jackie to pin her at 8:48. After the match, Storm brought in the beer bottle. Petey countered and wanted to strike Storm, but Jackie made the save. Jackie DDT-ed the referee. They went for the death sentence, but Chris Harris came out and tossed Jackie off the top rope and went after his former partner. Harris is wearing an eye patch.

* Backstage, JB interviewed Sting wearing Abyss's mask. He said Abyss had to leave the past behind. Wasn't it Sting whom brought out this deep dark secret? Sting then cut a promo on Mitchell.

(8) Prison Yard Match: Sting vs. Abyss (with James Mitchell). The winner must lock his opponent inside a cage. Tenay said the match will start outside. The cage is hanging over the ring. Abyss and Mitchell entered the ring, but left and went outside. Sting then was introduced (still wearing the mask), and also left the arena to go outside to the prison yard. Sting and Abyss brawl outside, in front of the over flow crowd. Sting is placed on a table with wheels, and rammed into a dumpster. Abyss then tosses Sting into the dumpster. Sting dives off the dumpster onto Abyss, who was laying on a table. Within three minutes, the two had re-entered the arena. Sting grabbed a baseball bat wrapped with barbed wire and hits Abyss with it. In the ring, Sting calls for the cage to be lowered into the ring. Abyss is bleeding from his arm. Sting removes the belt from Mitchell, and nails him with it. Sting wraps the belt around Mitchell, until Abyss made the save. Abyss bring a table into the ring. Mitchell is bleeding from his forehead. Abyss smashes a flashing light over Sting's head. Abyss puts Sting into the cage, but couldn't secure the door shut. Abyss brings in a board wrapped with barbed wire and places it in a corner. Abyss hits the black hole slam, and pulls off Sting's mask. Two stinger splashes, and a Sting death drop. Sting puts Abyss in the cage, and Mitchell in a scorpion. Abyss saves his manager. Abyss places Sting on a table, and climbs the cage. Sting puts the barbed wire board on the table. Sting powerbombed Abyss through the table with barbed wire. Sting puts Abyss in the cage and secures the door. Sting wins at 11:56. Sting assualts Mitchell after the match, until security breaks it up.

* Backstage, JB interviews Kurt Angle. Angle appears to be in a zone. He said he had to go through Samoa Joe to earn this title shot. He guarantees a victory.

9. NWA World Heavyweight title match: Christian Cage (with Tomko) vs. Kurt Angle. As per usual, JB did the ring introductions. The referee has ejected Tomko, even before the match started. No sign of Joe or Steiner in the early stages of the match. About a minute into the match, Joe's music starts. Joe comes out with a chair in hand. He sits ringside for the contest. Fans started the "lets go Angle, lets go Christian" chant. Hangman style neck breaker on the arena floor by Cage, Joe tells Angle to get up. Angle controlled the match early, but Cage gained the upper hand. First pin fall pin attempt by Angle at 8:30, but the champ kicked out. Cage went for an unprettier, but Angle countered into an ankle lock, but Cage grabbed the ropes. Low blow by Cage, followed by the unprettier, but Angle kicked out! Cage did moves ala Steiner. Angle hit SEVEN German suplexes in a row, but Cage kicked out! Styles came out, and was chased by Joe. Cage hit a chair shot (which we didn't see on TV) and went for a frog splash. He hit it, but Angle kicked out. Unprettier, but Angle kicked out again. Joe returned to ring side. Ankle lock attempt, but he bumps into the referee, Andrew Thomas. Joe tossed Cage back into the ring. Angle flips off cage, and hits the olympic slam, but no referee. Joe pulls the referee back into the ring, but Cage kicked out. Cage hits the referee. Tomko comes in and gets German suplexes. In comes Steiner, but has no effect. Joe comes in and helps to clean house. Angle pushes Joe. Suicide dive by Joe into Tomko and Steiner. Joe brawls with Steiner and Tomko into the back. Ankle lock by Angle in the ring. Referee is still down. Cage taps out, but the referee doesn't see it. Cage hits Angle with a led pipe that was brough in by Steiner. Unprettier by Cage. Cage wins at 19:03. Cage celebrated with Steiner and Tomko after the match. West said this sucks, and that Cage sucks as the broadcast concluded.

Nice. I love that Angle didn't win it yet. Joe should win the belt before Angle they should push their talent over ex WWE talent first. The tournament should have Joe screw Angle out of a match leading to the finals of the tournament. Then go on despite Angle to win the tournament and title.

Yeah they should push their talent over Ex WWE first, which is why Christian is a good choice to be TNA Champion

The point was that Joe can now get it off Christian. If ex WWE guys get the belt it shold be after properly establishing themselves in TNA. Christian has done that so him having a longer reign doesn't bother me. He is a pretty shit wrestler but his heel mike work definitly makes up for it.

Christian vs. Angle was a very good match, it was an overbooked finish but it still turned out alright, we got to see all the members of the “Christian Coalition” in the finish.

Sting vs. Abyss was about what I expected, I would have liked to see Sting take a few more bumps but it was a decent match, not a train wreck like I expected.

Sabin vs. Lynn, well at least it was an uppercard match. Decent match I would of liked to see some more offense from Lynn, but a decent match.

Team 3D vs. LAX.. some nice spots but overall a bad match, it was very sloppy at times and I feel sorry for Bubba and D-von, they just can’t go anymore.

I liked AJ vs. Rhino, it wasn’t a great match by any means but it was decent. I had no idea what a motorcity chain match was and it didn’t turn out that bad.. right now Rhino is just a jobber, he needs to get a couple ppv wins soon or he will fall off the face of the earth no matter how much the Impact crowd likes him.

Storm/Jackie vs. Williams/Kim, meh what I expected.. I was guessing that Harris would return.. I liked the way he saved the day.

Basebrawl was just awful.. but I guess if TNA gets a plug on ESPN during the week it will be worth it.
Everyone seems to like Hoyt getting a ppv win, but to be honest I don’t see the guy as a star.

Hemme vs. Fatty was horrible. Starr vs. Senshi was decent enough. I would have liked to see TNA at least mention this match.. guess it shows how much they are behind these two.

Johnny Devine & Kazarian vs. Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt, nice to see Sonjay and Jay in a match.. besides that same old pre-show match, Serotonin getting a win and still getting canned was nice.

Overall solid ppv..but let’s hope Destination X is all the hype.
