Hope the Raiders can work out deals with Khalif Barnes and Duke Preston. Signing both of them would free us up to draft either BJ Raji or Michael Crabtree hopefully. I am still pissed that we cut Gibril Wilson. I scanned the available free agent safeties and none caught my eye.

Alex Smith reworks contract and staying with the Niners...Let's give him one more try before calling him a bust...He's taking 4 mil a year for the next 2 years...instead of the original 24 mils...because he likes to stay with the Niners...that should be enough to allow him to have one more try...

Also Rams released OT Pace...

Bowens was a good pickup for the Browns.

He's a great special teamer and very solid depth for defense. I was pissed when Miami let him go actually.
