Default THE DRAFT!!!!!

Damn without a sports mod, this forum is pretty much dead...oh wait there are some hockey threads...oh wait I was correct, dead.

So the Rams are on the clock, since Miami ended the suspense of making there choice earlier in the week. Who are they going to get, and what is your team going to do in the first round if they have a pick.

LMAO, Steve Young is such a moron.

He keeps saying Matt Ryan is the "only franchise quarterback" in this draft, and that there won't be a franchise quarterback in next year's draft. LMAO What a dumb fucking retard

Well the Falcons took the QB, so now they have to use their ten other picks to improve the rest of the team.

Cowboys got Felix Jones at twenty two to compliment Marion Barber.

Yeah, they had the choice of getting Mendenhall to, and I was pretty surprised they passed him up.

Chargers get an underrated CB in Antoine Cason from Zona. I've seen some of his games since he's from the Pac10 and he'll fit right in as the 3rd CB.

Damn this forum is dead. I would have thought that the draft would have brought more activity to this forum, but I guess not.

The Jets got Gholston which gets an A, but trading up for Keller was questionable. I like the pick, but they didn't need to trade up, so that pick gets a B. Just my two cents on the Jets draft.

I'm happy with the Lions Draft. We potentially filled several needs. We'll see how it goes though.

Xero you should be really happy with Miami's draft. Henne should be good, especially with Long continuing to block for him. Oh and btw, I LOVE how people are already calling Long a bust. Mofo hasn't even played one snap yet, so shut the fuck up.

I am very happy with it. The Henne pick was perfect at that spot...taking him at 32 would've signaled that Parcells and Ireland had 0 confidence in Beck...that they were desperate for a QB. At 58 tho...its feels more like a value pick then a necessity pick.

I can see Henne starting Game 1 honestly if neither Beck or McCown plays much better or even worse then him.

Yeah...we'll just have to wait and see...IMO his production speaks for itself so I'm not concerned.

Even Jake admits he needs to work on his game against speed rushers...but I think the talk about him not being able to handle speed rushers has been overblown.

The Merling pick was great...excellent value and a guy I truly didn't expect to be available at 32...glad I was wrong.

I'm pleased with C Town's draft...well, everything other than giving up a third in next year's draft, but what the fuck...you know?

The Browns liked Beau Bell as an outside rusher and that's where they need a lot of help so I'm good with that.

Then they drafted Martin Rucker, TE out of Mizzou. NICE. This cat is 6'5", 250 and runs routes like Winslow. He doesn't block but hey...running a spread package with Braylon, K2, Donte Stallworth and Rucker...then having Jamal at the RB position with Joe Freaking Jurevicius in the slot??! Are you kidding me?

Me likey.

September can't get here soon enough.

Late.

Yeah. I mean, when you've let a grand total of like 3 sacks your entire career, it's not like you absolutely blow against speed rushers.

WR, TE, LT, LG, C, RG, RT, TE, WR, WR

QB

RB

I'm not so sure this formation is going to work. Unless you want to get really tricky with 4 linemen or something, then it's likely DA is gonna be getting rid of that ball real quick. Probably some wr screen play. This is the sort of crazy talk charger fans are always saying. "Just do a wishbone with LT, Turner and Neal and then put gates at wr, but motion to slot then chambers and jackson and blah blah blah." This stuff only works in high school or if you fuck up the line. And if you get to have 12 or 13 players on the field. Actually, I'm not even sure to what degree you can even reset the positions. I think you can, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, those are a lot of weapons.

The Chargers drafted some corners and some rb's. I don't know any of them. I wanted a RT. But what do I know.
