Boozer's first season in Utah ended by foot injury

March 30, 2005
SportsLine.com wire reports

SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer will miss the rest of the season while he recovers from a foot injury he suffered in February.

He has been ordered by his doctor to wear a boot over his right foot for at least three more weeks. Trainer Gary Briggs said Tuesday that Boozer's condition has improved and surgery has been ruled out for now.

Boozer's agent, Rob Pelinka, said his client is encouraged his foot is healing but "devastated" about not playing in Utah's final dozen games this season.

Boozer, averaging a team-high 17.8 points and 9.0 rebounds, sprained his foot at Phoenix on Feb. 14. He spent his first two seasons with Cleveland and signed a $68 million deal with the Jazz last summer.

The Jazz entered Wednesday night's home game against Denver with a 22-48 record, second worst in the Western Conference.

If you or someone you know has been caused grief by an "Internet Bully" then you and/or that person is nothing but a little punk ass bitch, and the world would be a better, more manly place if you'd just jump off a fucking bridge already. It was obvious that he wasn't going to do well.

^ Meh, he was actually doing pretty awesome statistically. As the article said, 17 points and 9 rebounds. Unfortunatley he wasn't much of a leader, and his outstanding individual play did nothing for Utah's record. He's gone, and if Utah's smart, they won't miss him and instead will look for someone who makes everyone around him better instead of himself.

I say as a Die-hard Nets fan..I know Utah would be absolutely unstoppable if they got Kidd somehow.

He averaged a double double last year in C Town. Utah got him to do more than he'd been able to. For $68,000,000.00, he'd better add 10 pts on that per game average next year.

Also...while they're trying to give it away, the Cavs are going to the playoffs. Utah will be doing no such thing. Enjoy your money, Booze...there's not much else to enjoy out there, unless he likes the Tabernacle Choir.
