Default The Moses Mock Draft as of whatever todays date is...

Im bored so i figure ill throw a Mock out... With whats already been done...

1) Minnesota - (From San Fran) **Trade**WR Braylon Edwards. Minnesota will trade up in a weak draft to take Braylon after San Fran drafts him... Because they realise if they dont swap Picks with San Fran... They simply wont get a reciever because the Bears WILL take Williams.

2) Miami-RB Cedric Benson. They need help in the Run. Simple as that. If they dont get it they are in for another year where the Quarterback cant get decent throws because all defences are going to hit them... and hit them hard. But if they do pick up Someone in the offseason and it doesnt require them giving away this pick. I am almost certain they will try and replace Surtain which will be Rolle. Of course there is also the question of whether Feeley should be the starter or whether Miami thinks Smith or Rodgers can get the job done.
possibles- Rolle, Smith, Rodgers

3) Cleveland-ILB Derrick Johnson. This team has a number of choices. I think they may jump on a WR later in the rounds... They bought Dilfer to lead and they have Winslow on Offence as well. On D... Its a different story. I think Derrick Johnson will go here... But its a massive Tossup. Merriman might jump out at them. They could also go for someone on the O-Line(although i think its a little early in the draft for someone like that.) Of course Merriman may even line up as a DE... So that would help there piss poor Sack stats where Ekuban was there top sack artist.
possibles- Rodgers, Merriman, Barron

4) Chicago-WR Mike Williams. And i dont think its any question they take the best Wide Reciever available. This is soooo much a certainty that i wont even put other possibles up. Its just going to happen.

5) Tampa Bay-RB Cadillac Williams. This pick is taken more because Gruden wants to make Cadillac his love child. I dont think its Tampa's smartest move. More like they are afraid to draft a QB for the future... With both on the board still I think they might Reconsider. But i doubt it.
possibles- Smith, Rodgers, D(lol)

6) Tennessee-OT Alex Barron. This pick is taken more out of necessity. They have run out of players... and really need to protect McNair for as long as possible. Yeah they have problems with the passing game but i bet they are banking on the second tier of WR's lasting to the second round for them. They may think about Rolle or Pac Man... But i think the losses on the O-Line in the offseason might effect there judgement more then losing Samari Rolle who was injured all season anyway.
possibles- Rolle, Pac Man

7) San Fran (From Oakland, Thru Minnesota)- QB Aaron Rodgers.**Trade**I think they will trade San Fran for the rights to Edwards for this and maybe the second rounder(or the other first rounder...). They badly BADLY need a Wide Reciever with Burleson and Robinson being the ONLY guys on there depth chart. San Fran will surely at this point take Aaron Rodgers.
possibles- Smith.

8) Arizona-RB Ronnie Brown. I dont think there is a doubt that Arizona pick up a replacement for Emmitt. He is such a big loss. And yet they are still in the opportune position in the NFC West with no major Losses(or at least none that they cant recover from)

9) Washington-DE David Pollack. I dont think there is much choice here. If Williams or Edwards dropped. The Redskins would have jumped. But they havent so they take the next biggest need. David Pollack is a machine and should guarantee that Griffin isnt the only lineman getting sacks all season.
possibles- Merriman, Rolle, Pac Man.

10) Detroit- OLB/DE Shawne Merriman. The Lions have a few choices here. They can take a DT who will make some room in the middle. Or they could attempt to snare Shawne Merriman... Or they could go for Rolle or Pac Man... Or finally they could go for DE Pass Rushing threat... In the mold of Erasmus James. I think they will go with the multiple threat guy... Allow themselves room to move him.
possibles- Travis Johnson, Shaun Cody, Erasmus James, Rolle

11) Dallas-DE Erasmus James. Because the Draft is deep when it comes to second string speedy Wide Recievers... I dont think Dallas will go after that first. And with Merriman and Derrick Johnson being gone. I think it leaves only one position. And that is DE(or safety)
Possibles- Spears, Tuck, Davis

12) San Diego (From Giants)-DE Markus Spears. Spears is perfect for their 3-4 setup. And so I am almost certain they will take Spears. They may think about Williamson but with a second pick in the first round i think its safe to assume they will go after him there.

13) Houston-DT Anttaj Hawthorne. Wanted Barron badly... And didnt get him. They still might go after Kyle Turley if released and he would bring much needed confidence to David Carr's game. Anyways I think they may look for a better Nose Tackle considering there DT's last season had an accumulated 2 Sacks.

14) Carolina-WR Troy Williamson. After losing Muhammed... and knowing Ricky Proehl cant go on forever. I think Carolina will almost certainly go after a Wide Reciever. Middle of the first round seems as good a place as any for the next best WR to go...

15) Kansas City-S/OLB Thomas Davis. Obviously will go after Defense(wont they?) Alright i will give KC the benefit of the doubt. Its obvious that they are gonna have to do something with the D... and considering the age of that offence I personally think they are 1 maybe 2 years from being in total rebuild mode. Now the offence is undeniable. Its time to give the team a solid enough Defence to give the team a chance of winning the Lombardi Trophy. Thomas Davis looks the goods at Safety and could be converted to an OLB... So I think KC will go pick him here.
possibles- Antrel Rolle, Pac Man.

16) New Orleans-CB Antrel Rolle. Surprised the top two CB prospects are still on the board. They jump on the better of the two.
possibles- Pac Man Jones.

17) Cincinnati-DT Travis Johnson. Team is youngish... and may trade out of spot to look for future draft choices... If not. They will take a DT... In an attempt to plug the middle.

18) Minnesota-LB Daryl Blackstock. I have never seen a team go from average to UBER over the space of an offseason. And considering who they dropped. WOW. After already taking Braylon, I feel they will wait until the second round to either get another WR or attempt to draft Heath Miller to replace Wiggins(not sure whether he resigned or not) I think they will go after a linerbacker to accomodate new signing Napoleon Harris and old head Henderson. Blackstock looks a goer in this spot.

19) St. Louis-S Brodney Poole. This ALL depends on what happens with Turley. If released. St Louis will go after O-Line help. If not Brodney Poole looks the goods here. Considering that Turley hasnt been released im more inclined to see them take Poole
possibles- Jammal Brown

20) Dallas (From Buffalo)OT Jammal Brown-With two positions that need immediate attention at this pick. Dallas could go two ways. They can draft for the right tackle spot in which case they will draft Jamaal Brown OR they can go after D and especially in the Linebacking Core and go after Channing Crowder... I think they will take Jammal Brown because they believe he can step in and start from day one.
possibles-Channing Crowder, Alex Smith

21) Jacksonville-CB 'Pac Man' Adam Jones. The Jags will almost certainly take a Corner with this pick having released 2 of their best three in the offseason. With PacMan still on the board you can just imagine the boss fiddling with himself when he announces this.

22) Baltimore-WR Mark Clayton. Two ways they can go about this pick. They are changing formation to a 4-3(why???) and so would need a DE... But they also need something for Kyle Boller to pass to. Personally i think they will go Offence for the same reason that KC will look to Defence. Right now they have the most explosive D in the league. Yet the offence leaves a lot to be desired. Picking a WR seems the smart option giving Boller more then 0 targets during the season.
possibles- Roddy White

23) Seattle-ILB Channing Crowder. Seattle needs all the Linebacker help it can get. In fact i wouldnt be surprised to see them trade up.

24) Green Bay-OG Elton Brown. Simple as this. When you lose All-pro guards for your elderly quarterback. You need replacements. And although Alex Smith is still on the board and would be an OK replacement for Favre in the end. Elton Brown protects Favre better THIS YEAR. and that is the major concern for any club.

25) Denver-DE Justin Tuck. Will need a Defensive Enforcer on the outside... So will certainly take a DE here. The only question is... Whos left of the bunch to take? Will take Justin Tuck because of the scare he gives opposing QB's

26) NY Jets-TE Heath Miller. They get to fill their biggest need. And he may not be Jeremy Shockey. But hes the next best thing too... Anyways they could also be looking for an OT here... But with Brown and Barron gone. They may bide their time.

27. Atlanta Falcons-OT Khalif Barnes. Have a buttload of Needs... But the only major concern in Atlanta is how fit is Michael Vick. And for the moment that is where all the help should be concentrated.

28. San Diego Chargers-WR Reggie Brown. Its either Brown or White here. And because most boards have Brown rated higher. I think thats the way San D will look at it. The more targets you give Brees. The better chance this side is of repeating the blessed luck they had last year.

29. Indianapolis Colts-ILB Odell Thurman. This is as much a necessity as KC picking D. They need a playmaker on D. And they hope Thurman can offer that in the middle.

30. Pittsburgh Steelers-CB Justin Miller. Its either a WR or a CB they take here. And considering that Justin Miller is still on the board. Pittsburgh will be pooping there pants. Great pick up at 30 in the draft

31.Philadelphia Eagles-DT/DE Shaun Cody. The Eagles are looking at someone for there interior D-Line. But if Andy Reid has learned anything from the Superbowl loss. THEY NEED A RUNNING GAME. Its entirely possible they go for Marion Barber here... But Cody is the better player at this spot.

32. New England Patriots-OLB/DE DeMarcus Ware. New England were having heart siezures at about pick 20 when it looked like they may get Thurman or Crowder... But that fell through. They may look to replace Andruzzi. But that doesnt seem to be the way New England work. They will be looking at DeMarcus Ware as a threat on the outside and at LB...

Have some fun. Bash away. Other then Alex Smith not being taken. It sounds pretty fair to me... Meh maybe not.

Wtf? The Lions don't need another defensive lineman/linebacker as much as they need a good offensive lineman to help protect Garcia. Their Defensive line is good enough to hold their own. If I were the Lions I would draft a good offensive lineman in the first round, and hopefully get another 1st round pick, or an early 2nd round pick, and then draft a defensive lineman.

Oh and once again I apologize for only commenting on my home team.

I'd rather the Browns trade down and take Barron, because until they upgrade the LT position from good LG/average (at best) LT Ross Verba, there will be problems. However Derrick Johnson is a great LB and would work in Crennel's 3-4 scheme very well.

They'll probably go for Johnson, which is good, but alsounfortunate because signing Andruzzi and Coleman certainly doesn't solve the problems with the O Line. Having Barron in place at LT provided he can gain 15-20 lbs, would set the line up nice-nice.

Late.
