Default Griffey.

Who's better? Junior or Senior?

Why?

Junior is the better player, without question.....

Griffey Sr. was a fine hitter, a decent fielder and a good guy to have around the clubhouse.....but he was the fourth best player, if even that high, on his own teams.....

Junior, for the decade of the 90's, was the picture perfect ballplayer.....had he played in pinstripes, he would have replaced Mantle in many people's eyes.....youthful enthusiasm, reckless abandon, great fielder, strong throwing arm, sweet swing that hit for both power and average.....

Griffey Jr. was the player that comes along once in a generation.....he was the symbol of what MLB wanted a player to be.....it was Griffey Jr., not Barry Bonds, that was voted by the players as the best player in that decade.....he could have retired four years ago and been a first ballot hall of famer.....Senior will never be in the HOF.....

sadly, injuries and bitterness began to seep in.....now we have been force fed Bonds because Griffey's overall health began to fail.....but, that has happened to so many of the greats.....and sadly, people that are in their teens now do not remember the greatness of Griffey Jr......

there are few athletes that I believe would ever have played their game just because they loved it so much and not because of the money.....the list is pretty short.....but for a decade, when you watched Griffey Jr. play, you knew that he was one on that short list.....no, there is no debate.....Jr. is better than Senior....
