Default Derek Fisher to the Warriors...

Two days after losing their best player, the Los Angeles Lakers appear to be on the verge of losing their most popular one.

The San Jose Mercury News is reporting that point guard Derek Fisher has agreed to a six-year, $37 million contract with the Golden State Warriors.

The team has not yet confirmed the signing.

Fisher, 29. spent his first eight years with the Lakers and averaged 7.1 points and 2.3 assists last season as a backup to Gary Payton.

But he is best known for hitting a remarkable fadeaway jumper at the buzzer in the Lakers' thrilling 74-73 win over San Antonio in Game Five of the Western Conference semifinals. After Tim Duncan had given San Antonio the lead with 0.4 seconds left, Fisher came to the inbounds pass and in one motion turned and fired a jumper over Manu Ginobili, giving the Lakers a 3-2 lead in the series. They closed it out in Game Six.

Well... Steph's life has apparently come to a halt now that her "baby daddy" is no longer in Los Angeles... pretty sad if you ask me... who could be in love with a bench warmer?

Derek Fisher will be backing up Jason Richardson... I never thought he was anything special, although he can shoot the 3 with good accuracy.

Damn It...I Didn't Want LA to lose him...I'd Rather Have Fisher Running the New LA Offense at Guard..than Payton..
