Default Seahawks Senior VP Leaves Team...

"Seattle Seahawks senior vice president Mike Reinfeldt turned down a new contract and left the team Thursday.

Reinfeldt oversaw player negotiations and the team's salary cap. He joined the Seattle front office five seasons ago after the Seahawks hired Mike Holmgren as general manager and coach. Holmgren lost his general manager's title and was replaced by Bob Ferguson after the 2003 season.

Reinfeldt worked with Holmgren with the Green Bay Packers, where he spent eight seasons from 1991-98. He played nine years with the Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers. In 1979, he led the NFL with 12 interceptions and made the Pro Bowl."

Interesting... he seems to work good with Holmgreen, or prefer being in the same organization as him... he didn't exactly give a reason as to why he wanted to leave, I guess he just wanted to move on.

On a side note... incredible he led the league in interceptions with 12 in 1979... I've never heard of him before this.

Your thoughts?
