The NFL should adopt colleges overtime rule where you play the entire over time quarter not just first score, but not for all season perhaps just play-offs only

nah, football games are already long enough thanks to the networks......i really would be quite indifferent to a 6-hour football game.

besides, most players are 'roidd out so much that their bodies would literally break in two if they played a few extra quarters a day........

They may be long to you. But not other football games.

But I think they should do what the colleges do for OT. Its really unfair right now. But I really don't see the NFL doing this anytime soon.

Yea, i don't see this happening anytime soon, but i think that the OT rules should be change at least for the palyoffs. I hate it when a playoff game is decided by a coin flip (ex. Tenesee and Pitsburg last year.

I don't think the NFL ot rules are unfair. Why is it unfair to expect your defense to make a stop? How many times have we said great D is the key to winning? So what if the other team gets the ball back. Look what happened to that dipshit in Seatle. If I remember correctly, the GB Defense won that game. There's no reason to change the rules imo. I think if they're going to change it to the silly college back and forth thing, they may as well have shoot offs like soccer and have the kickers just keep moving back 5 yards untill one misses.

I don't think there's any reason to change it, including playoffs, they just keep going into an extra overtime until someone wins... and in regular season you just get a tie... similar to hockey. I agree with a lot of Exo's comments... and even if the NFL thought it would be better to change the rules, I doubt anything would be done about it anytime soon.

The NFL overtime rules are fine, like EXO said you have to be able to trust your defense enough to get you the ball back. The rules have been like this for so long I don’t see any point in changing them now.

These ideas of playing a whole other quarter are ridiculous. You have to take fatigue into consideration because you can't just keep playing. The sooner the game is over the better for the players.
