Default NFL Rumours

Warner trade unlikely

The Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas reports that the Rams may have a difficult time trading backup QB Kurt Warner. A Rams official told Thomas that there is only a 20% chance that Warner will be dealt.

QB still a problem for Browns

The Beacon Journal's Marla Ridenour reports that if Kelly Holcomb doesn't improve his play, the Browns may have to go shopping for a QB in the offseason. Former starter Tim Couch has fallen out of favor and no longer appears to have a future in Cleveland.

Can Gruden, McKay resolve rift?

Is Tampa Bay big enough for Bucs coach Jon Gruden and GM Rich McKay? Times columnist Gary Shelton writes that many in the NFL believe that "the relationship of Gruden and McKay is headed toward a parting"

Bears' Daniels may have to start looking for work

Will the Bears cut Phillip Daniels? The Sun-Times' Brad Biggs reports that the Bears could save $4 million by releasing the veteran defensive end

Will Bailey help save Edwards' job?

The Post's Mark Maske reports that several Redskins players have voiced their support for defensive coordinator George Edwards. Edwards has been on the hot seat recently, but if the Redskins decide to fire him, it could hurt their chances of re-signing Champ Bailey

first off, i'd like to say that I hate newspaper sports reporters. There are bunch of idiots. Half are their 'rumors' are common sense.

Warner will be traded. I don't know why they would keep him and his contract around. I still think he has alot in him. And I think some teams probably think that too.

For the Tampa situation. If it comes down to coach vs GM, you get rid of the gm. The Bucs gave alot up to get Gruden, and it would be stupid to fire him.

And the whole Redskins coaching staff deserves to be fired.

Warner isn't going anywhere. Bulger is barely winning his games and the Rams can't afford to let him go with no other qb at the helm when Mark comes crashing down.

Yeah they're barely winning the last few games though. 1 game over Seattle who shouldn't have lost last week and the refs admitted they made a bad call. Bulger isn't that great and Martz won't make the trade or pull a trigger until Bulger proves he's for real. This year he's barely winning and to many int's.
