ugh Shot to the wallet...

So I just dropped a little more than a G into my car

It was leaking engine coolant and has been for a little while I guess, progressively getting worse.

I had to have a ton of work done, which includes:

-Intake manifold gasket replaced
-PCV Valve
-Serpentine belt replaced
-Radiator flush and fill
-Oil change (was 2 quarts over, so they think it had water or some other fluid leak build up in it)
-Fuel injection system cleaned

Needless to say, I don't just have a cold G just layin' around or saved up in the bank, so I had to throw it on my newly approved Anne Geddes Visa card, with a limit of $7,500.

Despite it seemingly running really good right now, I'm pretty fuckin' bummed Still have a dead end shit job that pays for shit that I hate...which puts extra wear and tear on the car because it's a bit of a drive...and just generally feeling down.

When's the last time you had major vehicle problems?

Some tire warning light came on a couple weeks ago. I checked all the pressures and everything is fine, so it's something else. I'll take it in when I get around to it. I just drove 1,000 miles with it on and nothing happened so fuck it for now. I also got a crack in my windshield that needs to be fixed. Everything else is just the same shit I need to buy. New rims and wheels, lift kit, exhast etc.

Hope you feel better soon. Sometimes happiness comes in phases. Congrats on surviving in the harsh real world. That's more than I'm doing right now. I'm just chillin at my mom's house as usual. No car, no license, no nothing. Ha ha.

I bet the belt was expensive.

Last time I had a problem with my truck was when I drove 240 miles in one day with a big load in the back...died when I pulled into my driveway. Some rubber between the hood/wipers was in the middle of the engine and had that fallen down at the speeds I was going who knows...

...but it was some valve with my fuel system that made it die.

My car have been troubled starting lately...especially in the morning...Sometimes I would drive for about 15 minutes and park to go to a store...and then about five minutes later get back to the car and the fucker won't start on me......One time I stopped at the traffic lights and the fucker stopped on me and won't start......Every time I have to get someone to give me a jump...and then it would starts and be normal again for like a week or twos...I thought it was the battery...I took it to two places to diagnosed it and they said the battery is fine...They said it might be the "central electric problem" don't know what that means...but it sounded expensive...I'm still driving the car with concerns everytime I stopped it because the fucker might not starts again...

That's just a little bottle you add in the gas tank.

They actually physically clean the fuel injectors and remove all the carbon deposits, dirt and such. It's a lot better than just adding a bottle of fluid.

The belt wasn't that bad.

The intake manifold gasket was the bulk of the cost. They said it's a six hour job, so the labor charge for that was crazy...$466.40

That's a sweet car. Least the money issues are your dads not yours though. God money troubles seem to come with getting a car. That's why, despite the fact I could have gotten my license three years ago and started learning five years ago, I still haven't. Too fucking expensive. Thank god Australia and particularly Melbourne has a fairly decent public transport system.
