Default New York City is awesome

I went to NYC/ New Jersey on the weekend. What a great time. I knew NYC was big, but I didn't think it would be that big. I mean, I live close to Toronto, which is like the biggest city in Canada. But NYC makes Toronto look like a small town. I couldn't believe it.

We get there around 9:30 and we didn't get a hotel until like 1. That whole fucking city was booked. I was starting to get worried we wouldn't find a room. That suprised me. It also didn't help we were getting totally lost in Jersey and it just seemed like we were driving in circles.

The bus system is fucked there. I have never felt so awkward and out of place in my life taking that bus down from New Jersey to NYC. The hotel we stayed at offered a shuttle bus down to the bus stop to take the bus to NYC. So we get to the bus stop, and my buddy and me realize that we don't even take the bus here in Kitchener, and how the fuck are we going to make it to a big city like that. So this piece of shit rips around the corner and starts honking its horn at us. I'm like I guess this is it??? We get on the bus and the driver has this Mexican music just blaring and theres like 10 other Mexicans on there. The whole time i'm thinking like please god, I hope this is the right bus. The bus did end up taking us right by Times Square which was good.

Now getting back to the hotel was fucked up to. The problem with those bus drivers is that you can't understand them, and it doesn't seem like they can understand you either. So I hop on this bus with the name of the stop we want on a peice of paper and show it to him. He mumbles something and tells us to get on. We keep driving and driving and i'm like this can't be right. So I ask him again, and he's like "No no... wrong bus". I'm like what the fuck. And then he tells me this is the last stop. At this time we were in Paterson, New Jersey. I'm sure some of you know what this place is like. I got off that bus and i'm like we need to get on another bus asap. Two hours later we were back at the hotel.

The hockey game was great. It went into 2 OTS. Its good to see some fans with passion who are actually smart hockey fans and who actually seem to care. We don't get that around here with the Leafs and alll... I saw some Sens fan get beat down right beside me. That was great. He had it comming the whole game. He just wouldn't shut the fuck up. I'm suprise it took until the end of the game for him to get beat down actually.

Oh and thanks for the beers, Glue. Next time it will be on me.
