Default favorite airline

those of us who have flown...

Which is your favorite airline to use?
How do you typically buy your tickets? favorite site? packages? etc
Do you do the frequent flier miles or do you typically forget about them?

My favorite is Southwest, but because they don't fly direct from Detroit to Ft. Lauderdale, I hardley ever fly Southwest.

I typically use Spirit. I'm part of their frequent flyers program. They're not bad. My biggest complaint has always been that I hate their planes. They used to use McDonald Douglass planes.

Always had a bad time on one of those. Once we almost dropped out of the sky taking off from Ft. Lauderdale. They've upgraded to these.

A shit load better.

I fly United.
I've never had a bad experience on their planes....typically the flight attendants are polite and helpful. Almost every time I've flown United, they've upgraded me to a wing seat ( the seat right by the emergency exit, which also has a wider aisle and therefor much more leg room). You truly appreciate the wing seat after flyin some of those damnable Delta connection flights.

After my flight out here I decided to only book United flights....I ended up taking some shitty ass flight from Cali to Hawaii and will never use such a company again.

After that last experience, I've actually decided its worth it to book my flight seperately....instead of those package sites. I'll pay a little extra for a comfortable flight.

O yeah....United has all my frequent flier miles, but I have no idea how those work...so I suppose it doesn't actually matter.

I use United because they operate a hub out of San Francisco. They're pretty much dogshit like all the legacy airlines. No real bad experiences, but they just don't give a shit sometimes. They're routinely delayed at SFO.

I hate Southwest. My best experience was probably Air Canada.

I will pick Virgin or JetBlue, despite the fact that I have never flown on either, they surely must be better than shitty united or southwest.

Amen brah on the Delta connection flights. Fucking things ain't made for anyone over 5'9 and 2 bills. I like American, Continental and United. Southwest is not the most comfortable but I like the atmosphere on their flights.

I tend to book all of my flights through WestJet.

Their staff is pretty funny and usually tell a bad joke or two.

I've only ever used one airline, EasyJet, and we were delayed for about two hours, God-damnit.

When I fly, it's military flights, which means some company the military bought out is taking me where I need to be. When I do get one that's civilian, it's Southwest.

Always late, always switching to smaller planes and pulling bullshit like that.

They run a hub here at SFO. If you want a direct flight, chances are you're forced to use United. They also tend to be the cheapest.

If I have a readily available alternative, I take it.

I'm going to New York in a few months, I'm taking Continental. I'm going to Las Vegas in a few weeks, and taking US Airways (never flown with them before, and I hope they're okay).

I thought US Airways was a sub-company of United?
