Activists Ask Who Led Them From Bush Event

Fri Apr 22,11:04 PM ET White House - AP

By MELISSA TRUJILLO, Associated Press Writer

DENVER - A lawyer for three people removed from a President Bush town hall meeting allegedly because of a "No More Blood for Oil" bumper sticker on their car said Friday he is seeking the identity of the man who escorted the activists out, and plans to sue.

"We want to know who this person is, and who trained them, because we're going to sue" both the man and his trainers, said Dan Recht, a lawyer representing activists Alex Young, Karen Bauer and Leslie Weise.

The three belong to the organization Denver Progressives. The day after the president's March 21 town hall meeting, the three were told by the Secret Service they were singled out because they belong to the "No Blood for Oil" anti-war group. They believe the statement was a reference to their bumper sticker.

The White House has said the man who escorted the three out of the event was a volunteer, and that he probably feared the activists would disrupt the meeting.

Recht said he has made Freedom of Information Act requests to nine groups, including the Bush administration and the Secret Service, to try to determine who the man is. So far, he has received no information.

White House spokesman Allen Abney said discussing a volunteer would serve no other purpose than to further the three people's political agenda.

Recht said the Secret Service has opened a criminal investigation into the incident, seeking to determine whether the man was illegally impersonating a Secret Service agent. Secret Service spokesman Jonathan Cherry declined to comment Friday.

They want to sue a volunteer...nice, you get not only sour grapes, but some of that famous overly-litigious American in there, too.

Why is it that everyone wants to sue other people when they haven't really been wronged?? Oh, so they didn't get a chance to do their little song and dance when they got in there...I'm sure it would've mattered, or changed the course of the election.

So now they've got to sue. What a bunch of worthless bitches...so fucking what?! They were removed from a town meeting. Forgive me if I think that this is just another way for some wannabe activist losers to get free money so they can support their lifestyle of protesting things they don't understand, claiming to be champions of the downtrodden while wearing $150 Birkenstock Sandals, drinking a $7 cup of Starbucks coffee, wearing about $250 worth of Abercrombie & Fitch clothing, and at the same time not making any notable contribution to society.

Whores.

Late.

The primary accomplishment of any organized protest is to make an ass of oneself. Either that or to annoy people into submitting to your cause.
