how do wrestlers fake airborne moves?

I know wrestling is scripted not fake but i want to know how to they fake off the top rope moves.do that person have to be in a certain position for it not to hurt.How do they prevent them selves from receiving damage

I don't know for sure, but I reckon it takes a two person effort. First of all the high flyer needs to land on their knees/hands so they don't hurt the other person, the other person also puts their shoulders up to protect themself. On my Best of Raw 2009 DVD it shows the brawl at MSG between Orton and Kofi. You can actually see when Kofi does a high flying move onto Orton on a table (even though Orton is supposed to be knocked out already), Orton puts his shoulders up to stop Kofi from hurting him. You only notice it when they do the slow motion replay.
