Goldberg was not happy with the direction he was heading in quite frankly the WWF did not take Goldberg seriously, hense Goldberg's skit with Goldust where Goldberg wore his wig... hillaious.















Goldberg wanted out before his price tag and prestigue in the market dropped any more.































Brock Lesnar felt he had done everything possible, and was being nagged by his 1st dream, to play Football.















Therefore Brock didn't renew his contract.































As a result, seen as both were leaving anyway, WWE booked Goldberg to beat Lesnar instead.















Steve Austin was booked as the refaree purely to stunner both of them.
