Why have we stopped talking about other wrestling promotions besides WWE TNA?

Default Why have we stopped talking about other wrestling promotions besides WWE TNA?

Surely WWE is #1(and my favorite), TNA is #2 and i grew up watching these, but why we rarely see a question regarding ROH/New Japan Pro Wrestling/AAA/many more??

BQ1: Also, since there are a lot of ppl that are complaining about WWE TNA's poor repeated shows, why do you think that the same people who complain, refuse to watch other promotions or at least give them a shot??

BQ2(optional): In you opinion, who is the most improved wrestler during 2010(it can be any promotion you want, including WWE TNA)?? The one that has impressed you the most.

Because in the last few years,WWE has gotten bigger than ever.

Total Nonstop Action is the only real competition and alternative it has.But it still isn't big enough.Ring of Honor is on a lousy network and Japanese/Mexican wrestling came and went without much notice.Japanese/Mexican wrestling is mostly discussed in Yahoo! Answers Japan and Mexico, but even they talk more about WWE than their own nations wrestling promotions.

BQ1:As stated above, there are very few alternatives made available to everyone, especially in the United States where WWE is huge.

BQ2:None of them. They're mostly the same as they were when they first debuted. Some gimmick changes here there, some face/heel changes, but wrestling wise, same old, same old.

You HAVE been gone a long time (and welcome back, by the way); this section has changed considerably in the last couple of years. The users here are getting younger and younger and less willing to explore other options in their wrestling diets. The vast majority of them today seem to be satisfied just watching Vince's shows, although going by the complaints you see here you would think otherwise (about the satisfied part, I mean; despite their complaints they still only watch the WWE and are openly hostile toward any other promotion. TNA has FINALLY been accepted by this section as a whole, as a legitimate topic for discussion, though you will still find quite a few closed minds who automatically bash it).

TNA has a prime time TV show on a network most of the country can watch, thus it's easy to find and follow. ROH is still on a small niche channel and few here watch it even though each ROH TV show is available every week on youtube. AAA gets a few viewers here (including me); I think more people do get the network it's aired on than they realize. CMLL is pretty much limited to Mexico and a few local stations in the southwest. Japanese promotions aren't aired in the U.S.

Rather odd. There are a lot of users here who go to spoiler sites and youtube channels but they aren't willing to seek out and discover other promotions via the internet. Why, I don't know. They are apparently satisfied, despite their complaints, with just watching the WWE. As you can (or will) see, this section mostly just chats about whatever WWE show just aired or the next WWE PPV. TNA gets some mention, but only a fraction of what the WWE gets.

BQ1: I honestly don't know. It's as if they feel they would be traitors for watching anything but the WWE (and there have been questions asking that very thing: am I traitor for checking out TNA, ROH, etc? Bizarre.) Despite the glowing reviews and praise ROH get here from the few who watch it, the WWE fans are just not interested. Vince's propaganda telling them other promotions are crap and are not worth watching? Probably. But most watch only the WWE and complain about it, and, strangely, will also defend it when somebody criticizes it. Downloading and watching ROH, Chikara, Dragon Gate, or any other promotion is something they just refuse to do.

BQ2: Ken Anderson, no question. I was probably the most vocal critic of Mr Kennedy...Kennedy in this section. I didn't like the juvenile gimmick or his sloppy in-ring performances. But once he went to TNA it's like everything just fell into place. He tweaked his gimmick a bit and finally defined what his gimmick IS (I'm an assh*le!), his promos got entertaining, and most importantly, his in-ring performances improved drastically. He's wrestling now, as opposed to just doing a bunch of spots, and his mistakes have been almost eliminated. This was a case of his previous environment (the WWE) stifling and restricting him. In TNA he finally came into his own and he finally earned his main event spot. And, maybe most shocking of all, he made a fan of The Dragon.
