I think its because Goldust is way past his prime and the WWE wants to push the younger guys.

What do you think that they're doing right now?! They just started his feud with Ted DiBiase for the Million Dollar Championship and he has his storyline with Aksana, (which is probably going to lead to a marriage story so Aksana can stay in the US.) His push is currently in the beginning phases, but just give it time and he'll be up in the weekly-superstar roster, where a 20 year veteran should be.

if goldust was going to be pushed it was going to happen in the 90's, its way to late for him to be pushed and its time to start pushing the younger guys for the future

But however it is good to see WWE using Goldust in more Storylines, like the one with Dibiase and his Million Dollar Championship, and him on NXT

Most likely because the WWE feels that that the ''WWE Universe'' are not interested in Goldust.

They don't think he has enough talent to be at the top. But they are pushing him for more TV time exactly why he is about to start fueding with Ted DiBease..

During his career, Runnels has won several championships. In World Championship Wrestling, he was a two-time United States Heavyweight Champion, a one-time World Six-Man Tag Team Champion and a two-time World Tag Team Champion. In World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment, he is a three-time Intercontinental Champion, a nine-time Hardcore Champion, and a one-time World Tag Team Champion.

Early in 2010 the WWE announced that there will be a biography of Goldust written. The book is called Cross Rhodes. It is scheduled for release on December 14 2010.

HIS TIME HAS PASSED.
