Default So since when did the WWE become a kid show?

So lets be real. I joined Y!A 2 years ago and immediately I fell in love with the grungy fans that we're angered when Cena won and Edge couldn't win a title. I also remember how the Y!A wrestling family (because it was a family at one point) started talking about Y2J's possible return. THEN I remember when all the little kids started to get on answers and started booing talented wrestlers (Jericho, Edge, Kane) because they were 'mean' and started loving the talentless guys like John Cena because he's well, superman (All kids like superman right?)

So I guess my question is: When did the WWE all the sudden become a kid show? John Cena is the main character and there's no longer main events. What the hell happened?

Star if you agree.

I think WWE can do way better, even under PG.

They take PG to the extreme.

When World Wrestling Entertainment realized that they were selling millions of dollars every month selling merchandise for famlilies of Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, CM Punk, John Cena, Dave Batista, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and other WWE Characters. In case you do not receive updates from the WWE, you still have to be aware that WWE Sells Action figures, wrestling rings and other merchandise for children. This is not exactly a secret. WWE has also picked up many new corporate sponsors and mainstream advertisers by promotiing a Family-Oriented Product.
