Default NWE Friday Night Smackdown: Episode 14: Rate and Review + BQ?

We kick off with the usual opening highlights package, which recaps everything that happened last week on Smackdown, including the brawl that occurred at the end between Chris Jericho and Christian, who will meet at Revolution with the World Title on the line. We are welcomed live to ringside by Matt Striker and Joey Styles. They preview the main event for tonight. Christian will take on CM Punk, in a non title match.

The arena goes dark. Everyone is wondering what is happening and when the lights come back on, the men who were introduced on Raw earlier this week are standing in the ring, with steel chairs and kendo sticks in hand. Mason Ryan, Mike DiBiase, Richie Steamboat and Austin Watson. They remind everyone what happened on Raw this week and the attack on Vince McMahon. They say that they are on a mission to take over this company and it is time for the New Bloods to shine. Theodore Long comes out to the entrance way. He says that they can try, but they will never take over here. CM Punk, Luke Gallows, Joey Mercury and Big Show come to the ring through the crowd. A brawl starts and the New Bloods are doing their best to fight off the Smackdown stars. The New Bloods retreat up the ramp and we go to commercials.

Match 1: Big Show vs Matt Hardy.

Decent match to get the in ring action started, after the explosive opening to Smackdown. Big Show picks up a deserved win around the 7 minute mark, hitting a huge Chokeslam on Hardy and pinning him for the victory.

Match 2: Chris Jericho vs Drew McIntyre.

Great back and forth action and a joy to watch. The end comes when McIntyre goes for Future Shock, but Jericho escapes and then hits a Codebreaker. He pins McIntyre for the victory.

Match 3: Natalya and Beth Phoenix vs Gail Kim and Melina.

Good Divas action. The team of Natalya and Beth prove too much to handle and they pick up a fairly straightforward victory. Natalya will meet Melina one on one next Sunday at Revolution.

We cut backstage and a fight has broken out. The New Bloods are causing mayhem and security are trying to stop them. Teddy Long is lying flat on his back and the medical team are attending to him, whilst The New Bloods are restrained. He has a deep cut on his forehead and they are trying to stitch him up.

Match 4: Daniel Bryan vs Kane.

David meets Goliath. Bryan does his best to fight the bigger and stronger opponent off, but Kane proves too much for him in the end. John Cena is sitting at ringside, with the announce team. He will meet Bryan on one on next Sunday in a Submission match. The end comes when Kane hits the Tombstone Piledriver and pins Bryan for the victory. Afterwards, Cena comes into the ring and hits an FU on an already weakened Bryan. We go to commercials.

Match 5: Edge vs MVP.

Best match of the night so far. Great action between these two and it leads us into the main event quite nicely. Alberto Del Rio is at ringside, with the Intercontinental Championship over his shoulder. MVP picks up a huge win over Edge, hitting 305 for the shock victory. Edge and Del Rio stare each other down after the match.

Match 6: Christian vs CM Punk.

Main event time. Takes the accolade for match of the night, even better than Edge/MVP. They go back and forth to start things off, with Punk getting the upper hand eventually. He hits Christian with a variety of punches and kicks, until Christian begins to find a way back. The end of the match comes with Punk about to hit the GTS, but Christian manages to wriggle free. He hits the Killswitch on Punk and picks up the victory. He celebrates with the World Championship to end the show.

Great Match Card. 9/10

Can't wait until Revolution. Your show has realistic storylines in my opinion.

You don't have to rate my Nitro Thunder shows if you don't want to. But I'll continue to Rate your shows because I like them.
