Default Who was the Most Important Manager in WWE History?

Not the best, nor your favourite, but who was most important to the manager's storylines they were involved in?

Bobby Henan. He was the top heel in the company at one time. No other manager can boast that.

three managers come to mind: jim cornette - he managed the midnight express and was always an Integral part of both the matches and promos. with his tennis racket carrying, loud mouthed, arrogant boasting persona who constantly go involved in his teams matches which was to hit an opposing wrestler with that ever present tennis racket. paul ellery - manager of the legion of doom (the road warriors) and was quite the innovator of a manager that got involved both in promos and in the matches. last but not least is mr fuji (also called the devious one) a former wrestler himself who held tag-team championships - was the consummate evil genius heel manager. his involvement in matches is legendary! he managed demolition and would throw salt in opponents faces to blind them.

While Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart and Paul Bearer were great managers. I would have to say the most important would be Sherri Martel. The others did not really get that much involved in the matches. But you could always count on Sherry doing something to help her guys win. The male managers could distract the ref and holler at him. But Sherri would get right in their face and even slug them. She was quite a lady.

Jimmy The Mouth of the South Hart was the most important manager in WWF history. Hart managed World, Intercontinental and Tag team Champions throughout his storied career. He was an annoying and obnoxious heel manage who often times stood at ringside barking orders to his men into his megaphone. Throughout the course of his managerial career, he helped tag teams The Hart Foundation, The Nasty Boys, and Money Inc. to tag team championship gold. For a (very) brief period of time, he managed The Mountie to the WWF Intercontinental Championship when he defeated Bret Hart in a house show a day before the Royal Rumble 1992.

Hart could also play a babyface manager, too. As apparent when he came to aid of Brutus Beefcake after his team Money Inc. ganged up on him. At Wrestlemania IX, when Hogan defeated Yokozuna in an impromptu match and won the WWF Championship, Hart was the only manager to have wrestlers win titles in the World, Intercontinental and Tag team division in the WWF.

In terms of importance, flexibility (could play both face and a heel), and number of wrestlers who flourished under his tutelage, and mic skills, Hart would have to be the most important manage in WWF history.
