He's a former WWE Champion, so I think he qualifies.

of course, it would be a dumb move by the WWE if they don't

Before long, that Foley is in TNA and while he was in WWE that is treason, but that will be, possibly because it will be removed from TNA, will have to wait about 5 years old to enter.

the thing is that as long as he's contracted to TNA they will never offer it.... and if they did he'd have to decline, or else it'd be a FU to TNA

also some of his comments on recent blogs could be seen as Slams on WWE (even though he often goes out of his way to avoid that) so if Vince reads it as a dig, he might take it personally-- while Vince is almost always open to 2nd chances.. he is more than willing to delay them if he feels slighted

He may qualify but they won't induct him while he's working for TNA. Even if they did it's possible TNA would sue because of his appearance on a competing program while still under contract.

I think the better question is, will Mick Foley want to be inducted into the HOF? Answer that is yes.

Vince knows all too well the significance, prestigue and honor to be inducted into the HOF and Vince I think will use that against TNA. TNA use big names from 'elsewhere' for dependance but to be inducted into the HOF as people here have said, they can't be signed with TNA in particular. When WWE hangs the HOF carrott in front of Foley, I am sure he will bite and if that honor comes with a contrat as a WWE personality /or wrestling contract, then it's win/win for him. TNA will lose the big name to WWE because these big name superstars care for themselves, not for TNA. Kurt Angle would have signed with WWE last September if WWE did not back down due to the whole Jarrett/Karen scam and that Breaking Point last September, was in Angle's home town just after Angle's TNA contract expired is evident of that. Angle could still leave when his 1 year contract from that time expires this year. Both Foley and Angle will be inducted into the HOF at some point. Sooner rather than later if it means Vince removing them from TNA.

TNA will have to start depending on its originals very soon cos if not the year 2012 will be a difficult time for the company's existence. The WCW hof is a warning directly to TNA. I got a feeling Sting will be invited, time will tell if Sting chooses to honor his WCW legacy, or not also.

Maybe when he officially retires from the sport, he is still active in TNA and it just doesn't seem right to induct someone who is still active, I think Flair and Hogan was the two exceptions to that rule!
