It means to make a mess of, destroy or ruin

Example:

I botched the dinner and we had to eat out

It means f*cking a move up in wrestling terms. Not executing the move the way it should be executed or selling the move properly.

I'll use it in a sentence:

John Morrison botches his finisher most of the time

To botch in professional wrestling means to attempt a scripted move that does not come out as it was originally planned due to a mistake, miscalculation, or a slip-up. Most botches are harmless but embarrassing, such as a wrestler simply flubbing a line or missing a cue, or falling before his opponent's move actually connects. At times, however, a poorly timed or executed move has resulted in serious injury or even death.

its when a move insint executed they way it was intended to. it could be caused by the person doing the move or the person selling the move.

usually when you see a botched move, its pretty obvious as the wrestlers look very awkward in movement or landing.and looks very fake.

the definition of botched can be applied to many things, but in wrestling its main use is refference to moves or promo lines.

Basically as for wrestling it means someone messed up a move. Either it didn't look right, it was painfully obvious that they messed up, it wasn't sold properly etc. Botch is just another word for a screw up in the wrestling world. Wrestlers botch all the time, some more often than others. After a move has been executed so many times it becomes obvious to the fans when something goes wrong. So a lot of the time when you notice that one of the moves preformed by one wrestler looked bad or didn't go well it was most likely a botch.

-- For an example of a botch I would recommend watching one of former WWE wrestler Batista's matches.

Obviously you have never seen a Divas match. : )

Seriously though its used to describe a move that was done poorly or executed wrong. Like when Eve tries to do a dropkick but doesnt come close to touching anyone.

Example: Kurt Angle went for a moonsault and slipped on the top rope so he fell over backwards into the ring (that would be a botched move)

It means to mess up a move. Examples would include someone slipping of the top turnbuckle by accident, delivering a piledriver unsafely, or doing any other move improperly. It does not mean using a move to storyline injure somebody. Too many people here say Batista botched moves just because WWE said that he injured Cena with the Batista Bomb. That was just a storyline reason for Cena's neck surgery. Batista didn't botch the move.
