Batista wanted a role in a movie but Vince McMahon gave it to Triple H, which angered Batista so he quit to have an acting carrer.

He pulled a Rock. He no longer cared for the millions and millions of fans. All he cares about is what goes in his wallet and the millions that he could have earned in the WWE just wasn't enough. Now, since they turned him down on some movies, he's moving on to Strikeforce. Also, he entered the business in his early thirties. You shouldn't do that or you will be behind on your career. For instance, John Cena just entered his early theirties but in 2002, Batista entered the company too late which is why he retired. If I'm not mistaken, I believe he is 41, so he was getting pretty old.

He left because he kept losing to John Cena and at Over The Limit he was thrown off a car and wanted to work for MMA.

He must of had secret plans to make a move for MMA, because he joined in an instant.

Batista joined WWE when he was aged 38, so he joined at pretty old age, for a wrestler anyway.

I knew Batista was going to leave WWE the minute he turned Heel, because I remeber reading somewhere that he said he 'wanted to be a heel one last time before leaving the company for good' and thats what he did.

It's a shame he is now gone, he was a favourite wrestler to some fans (including me!).

He said he didn't like where the company was going so he quit. You have some part in deciding if you want to quit as a heel or face. I think he wanted to quit as a heel so nobody would remember him while he is in acting, MMA. They must of paid him a lot of money to have him quit like that.
