Default One of the most painful wrestling promos to watch?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Chk7uQbHbs

I have always had a deep respect for Ric Flair.

But this...this was like spending 10 minutes in hell.

One of the YouTube commenters summed it up: Ric Flair has become a parody of himself.

Is this one of the worst wrestling promos you've ever seen? Please don't answer unless you watch the whole thing, not just the Battle of the Woos or the shoe-throwing or Ric throwing himself on the mat and Jay Lethal throwing himself on the floor.

I see Ric as desperate old man in this. Maybe because ROH is suing him for $40K. Maybe because at this point in his life, he should be living the good life rather than throwing himself on the mat. I've watched Ric for years, thought he actually was retiring a few years back..now this. He's only there so his son Reid can get a job. Reid sucks so hard that nobody wants him unless Ric agrees to work, too.

There's something for everyone's taste, I guess. This isn't mine. But I guess I prefer to remember Ric as he was and not as he is.

I've seen worse. The promo itself just seemed out there. Flair looks horrible now.

It was so awesome that even Ric Flair started to laugh.....then he went back to business and went back to grumpy old man mode. It was so great that Flair got so angry that he started mumbling and forgot what to say. You could see that Flair was legit upset about it. I kind of think he went too far with the shoe throwing....

What are you talking about that was the most hilarious thing Ive seen from flair while hes been in TNA.

Whats wrong with making fun of yourself? Thats what Ric is doing yeah he does it a lot in TNA but hes helped AJ legitimately get over as a heel(something AJ had problems before in the past), and he made Beer Money Relevant again.

The only thing that was bad about the promo was when Ric compared wolfe to luger. Luger is just horrible.

But that was awesome anytime Jay Lethal interacts with someone he can impersonate its funny.

And the look on flairs face when Lethal started impersonating him was classic,

I don't know what you were watching but this was an extremely entertaining promo. Lethal's impression was spot on and the reaction from Flair was priceless.
