Default WHAT WAS BETTER WWF OR WCW?

WCW WOULD HAVE PUT WWF OUT OF BUSINESS IF WWF HADNT HAVE BOUGHT IT FROM TED TURNER

(NOTHING AGAINST WWF..I LOVED IT..(BUT I THOUGHT WCW WAS BETTER)

WCW WON RATINGS EVERY SINGLE WEEK ( EVEN WHEN DX INVADED WCW )

WWF

WCW actually lost the ratings that week when DX invaded WCW. WCW started losing the ratings war after Wrestlemania 14.

Well it would've been better if one of the WCW wrestlers bought it because after WCW went out of buisness wrestlers like Goldberg,Chris Jericho,Booker T,Big Show,The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin said if they knew how much it cost to buy WCW they would've bought it and it would probably still be on air.

When WCW first started its climb up the charts - it was better than WWF. WWF had gotten kind of lazy in everything to be honest. WCW was fresh, new and hungry.

Then WWF started kicking things into gear to regain lost ground. Meanwhile in WCW you had the team of Russo, Eric B, Hogan and Nash steadily running the show into the ground week after week. WCW became he home of some of the most ego driven and non-sense booking I've ever seen.

So WCW better at the start - but WWF caught up and surpassed it.

WWF, WCW used to be a bit greater than WWF. In the past WWF was just about wrestling, it didn't have enough drama, but WCW was getting more ratings so WWF decided to makeover the entire company to compete in ratings in what was described as the famous Monday Night Wars. This meant changing the company logo and making it have more drama and more action, this means that the company would be later named WWF War Zone, both companies even feuded when making the legendary games, WCW vs NWO and WWF War Zone also known as WWF Raw is War. Because of help from the Roster that was once on the show and the invasion of the NWO, WWE started to get ratings and because of WWF, violence was associated with wrestling. As WWF ratings went up, WCW ratings went down and the company went bankrupt. WWF was soon the last show standing, that is until they changed their name to WWE and TNA came in.

The WWF was better, I thought they had better storylines and better stars. They did new things alot, while WCW kept wearing out the nWo storyline.

Obviously WWF since WCW is no longer in business. The reason why WWF is because of the fact that there was more stability with them compared to WCW since Vince is the owner of the company and had more creativity than Bischoff, Turner etc in the long run. WWF won the Ratings war after WrestleMania 14 with the official rise of Stone Cold Steve Austin as well as the invasion of DX while WCW could not hold on much longer. Even though WCW won the ratings war for the past 83-86 weeks, eventually the NWO became stale when they started bringing in everyone and their mother into the group along with dividing it into different sections. (Wolfpac, LWO, etc.) The part where WWF outsmarted WCW was where they pushed new and younger talent such as Edge Christian, Dudley Boyz, Matt Jeff Hardy, Kane, etc. while WCW kept their younger fresher stars such as Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, etc. at the bottom while keeping has-beens like Hogan, Savage, Piper, Nash etc. at the top. Not only that, but Vince was absolutely brilliant when he picked up WCW's younger talent such as Jericho, Big Show, Benoit, Guerrero, etc. and pushed them further by giving them opportunities to face his stars such as Austin, Rock, Triple H, etc. to keep things much more exciting for the ratings along with Stone Cold Steve Austin and DX selling merchandise and drawing the younger audience with their controversial actions. Therefore, WCW could not keep up because even though they had Sting, Goldberg, DDP, and others they primarily focused strictly on the NWO which limited the rest of their creativity which ultimately caused their downfall. WWF was just much more organized than WCW because the company's leader Vince McMahon is much more detailed, organized and more passionate than Eric Bischoff and Ted Turner ever were.

WCW all the way. Your absolutely right to. WCW would have won the wars. Truth is (and most people hate hearing the truth). WWF attitude was nothing special. McMahon ripped off what ECW was doing (and was so desperate, he had a talent exchange agreement w/t ECW and the NWA to come onto WWF programming just to compete w/t WCW) and used guys who were WCW jobbers and midcarders (most notably Steve Austin and Chris Jericho) to do it. It was NOTHING original. It wasn't the casual wrestling fan that helped McMahon win the monday night war, it was the fan of sex, vulgarity and other things that have nothing to do w/t pro wrestling (If i want that crap, and that's what it was...CRAP, I'll go watch a movie or better yet...a porno. I watch wrestling for just that...WRESTLING).

Hell, WCW didn't even have to incorperate that crap into it's programming to kick mcmahon's @ss. That's where to me, they showed their superiority. Truth is, WWF programming wasn't at WCW's level in the mid 90's, and McMahon to this very day proved how desperate he was. The attitude era wasn't innovative, it was a cheap ECW rip off and a sign not only that the WWF sucked, but showed flat outright that McMahon was desperate and unoriginal. (any creative idea WWF might have came up w/t did NOT come from Vince, it was somebody close to him. He just loves to take credit for things).

Hell, StoneCold isn't even original. That character was also a rip off of something ECW was doing in the Sandman character. Only difference is austin was a bald redneck who wore shorts and black trunks. Sandman wore pants and carried a singapore cane.

That's why for the life of me I don't understand why these fans thing the attitude era was the best thing since sliced bread. B/c it wasn't. McMahon wanted the fans to think that way in the 90's and now he's paying for it b/c people can't get over that era and accept what he's doing now.

For the record, WWF didn't buy WCW from Ted Turner. WCW went under b/c of the AOL/TIMEWARNER corporate merger. When that happened, Ted Turner lost the power and say he had. He was the one keeping WCW afloat and w/o him, it was doomed b/c for some dumb reason, AOL wanted nothing to do w/t wrestling. So, they decided to sell it to WWF b/c and I quote Vince McMahon is the only one who knows what to do with WCW - AOL/TIMEWARNER retard executive.

I truly believe if that corporate merger didnt happen, regardless if WCW was losing money, I think it would have rebounded and would still be around today.

WCW was so much better! During the late 90's, WCW had everything. Great talent, sold out arenas, interesting storylines. WWF was vulgar and disgusting. The Hart's, Bret and Owen were both publicly disgusted by DX and the way the WWF was being ran.

WCW was the best company and the ratings and sold out arenas proved this. 40,000 plus in the Georgia Dome for Monday Nitro with three day's notice!? Are you kidding me? Was WWF this hot? Nope.

Unfortunately, WCW lacked structure behind the scenes that WWF had with McMahon. When Vince Russo came to WCW, he ran it into the ground. By then, WWF was getting real hot with the peak of the Attitude Era, so naturally it was a smooth transition for WCW fans to make the switch to WWF

To answer your question, WCW was a far better product during the 90's.

WWF had the 80's and now the new millenium, but the 90's belonged to the WCW
