How do you define the term good match?

Lots of people think that bad matches are good matches, and good matches are bad matches, but how do you define a good match?

To me, a good match has a lot of fast action, back and forth competition, is entertaining, and both athletes (or more given the stipulations) are committed to putting on a decent match and selling it.

Does it tell a good story or is it well paced and is the quality great. When its a rivalry match these elements make the match. A little trash talking can add to the story as well. A good match isn't 70 percent on one end and 30 on the other. It has to be 50 50. An equal showing by both competitors. Alot of counter holds and reversals. In some cases even pure mat wrestling to start off the match can make a make more than alrite. Check out Benoit vs Angle matches. So basically all this can make a good match. It has to tell a story just by looking at their actions and the aggressiveness of their move to sell how bad they want to beat each other.

the match cant be the one that one is dominating and not a roll up at the end. it kind of has to be xtreme. it has to be like shawn michaels vs undertaker wrestelmania. many finishers. back and forth action. alot of high flying action.

One that has a great storyline to support it; and also the combination of wrestling techniques and devotion to the match.

1. It has a back Story. The 2 competitors have serious beef against eachother and there is no better way to settle it than this match.

2.It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Perfect example:

Undertaker vs Shawn Micheals WM 25

3.Both wrestlers have in ring ability in the ring and have a perfect match, meaning little to no botches. If it is just a botch fest like in CZW, it won't be good

4.It has a stipulation and something like that.

Example: Bragging Rights 2009: John Cena vs Randy Orton,60 minute iron man, cena loses, he goes to sd!, and it was no dq. Great match in both men's part imo

a good match needs to have at least 2 of these things in order for it to be good.

ex:Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio vs John Morrison and The Miz, Raw 2008(?) This match didn't have a huge rivalry and no stips but, it definatly was a great match because it was quick, fast paced. The match seemed as tho it could go either way!!

Thiese things imo determine a good match
