No, they are very important.

No one has the mic skills of the Rock. If someone did, then they would be a big star.

But then again vince trusted the Rock with his promos. He does not have the same trust in wrestlers these days, especially in the PG era. maybe only HHH and Jehrico are allowed to say what they wants. Even Cena is restricted, but that may be because of his character. I just watched Cena vs Brock Lesnar at Backlash 2003, Cena was a heel and very different on the mic than he is today.

John Morrison is great in the ring, but his mic skills let him down and he wont be WWE champ.

Miz is average in the ring, yet his mic skills allow him to get alot of TV time compared to Morrison.

Way overrated.

A wrestle should be good in the ring first and then become a Great talker, but these days is the exact opposite.

In WWE nowadays no because nowadays in WWE if you have no mic skills, you get nowhere. WWE is all about feuds and promos, mic skills are everything in WWE. That's why WWE pushes guys that have mic skills rather than guys that can wrestle. Like John Cena. He isn't a very good wrestler, but has mic skills which is why WWE puts him in the main event spot. If WWE pushed guys that can wrestle but have no mic skills into the main events, none of the events would sell out because there would be no good promos to promote the ppv's. That's where mic skills come in handy. So in WWE, mic skills aren't overrated.

people like Shelton Benjamin , Matt Hardy , Jamie Nobel they were/are great wrestlers but their mic skills sucked so none of them won a world title

Chris Benoit has won only one world title in the wwe in his entire career even though he is the best wrestlers in wrestling skills terms

Not really because that is their is basic needs.Ring talent is not enough, you will nedd mic skill too to have many fans be put as main eventer,if u don't have mic skills,it just like a flower that get sunlight but didn't get water the flower will still die at the end.

No. A wrestler can do very well without them. However, if you look at the great ones they were all great in the ring and on the mike ( Rock, SCSA, HHH, HBK, etc)
