Hogan, he turned WCW upside down when he formed NWO.

And brought it to a huge success.

Sting he was even referred to as the The Franchise Of WCW. He was the only guy to not jump ship to another promotion. I would've said Ric Flair had he not jumped to the WWF. WCW fans had a love-hate relationship with Flair but he was always entertaining and put on some the best matches in the company during the 80's and early 90's.

Jim Cornette The GOD of tag team wrestling was 1000000000000000000000000000000000000% responsible for the Midnight Express vs Rock Roll Express feud that was the main draw of the NWA. Rhodes vs Flair was another major feud that drew major money in ticket sales with featured matches such as WARGAMES or Starrcade. Hogan is was only a quick fix a band-aid on a severed limb if you will. WTF did Luger ever do in WCW?!?!?! outside of being in the 4 Horsemen and following the coat tails of Sting?

Proper booking is what made NWA/WCW the most entertaining promotion in the US of A. Jim Crockett Promotions the crap that Bischoff is taking credit for.

Success of WCW? They had success? When? Oh yeah, for a whole year and a half they had some, and it was because of the NWO. Not Sting, not Flair, not Dusty, NWO. British Bulldog said when he was in WCW first time they used to have to stand outside and hand out free tickets to their Pay Per Views just to get seats filled. WCW was never successful except for the one year and a half they had the NWO, other than that they were never successful.

As for jumping ship it is true Sting never did. Flair did once and only because there was a dispute with his contract and WCW wouldn't budge. Dumb move because Flair was champion at the time.
