Funny character......its a guy dressed up as a girl who just happens to act gay in a comical manner. Its not a political stance one way or the other its just entertainment.....

Pimpinella Escarlata is a cross-dressing gay character played more for sympathy and chuckles than outright belly-laughs. Pimpi is a caring and sympathetic person who has let his feminine side come to the forefront, and that is reflected in his style of dress, mannerisms, and the way he deals with other people.

He's not supposed to be the token gay character that's an exaggerated stereotype played for laughs, I believe, but rather just a man expressing himself in his own unique way. Really no different from, say, Jeff Hardy, RVD, Shannon Moore, and the other characters who march to the beat of their own drummer.

He's different, unique, and I find him entertaining. Especially through following his storyline with Dr Wagner Jr.
