If the internet was around do you think there would of been NWA,AWA, and WWE wars?

Don't you think some of us may of been just as annoying as some of the kids are today?I can just see the complaining that would of came from Hogan beating Andre and so on.

We all started watching at some point and most started as kids watching it with our dads or friends and whatever.

that's a tough one, especially because at the point where those were the big 3, no one had quite cemented national distribution, WWF/E was obviously closest, but a nation wide communication network of fans could have allowed one of the others to take a lead

I grew up in the AWA area, but one of the independent stations aired both NWA and UWF material and later WCCW/USWA, as well as another station having WWF Challenge and Superstars, so if the wind was blowing right, and i could stay awake I was able to see 4 companies and like 6 hours of 'original' product every week

I'd imagine the bulk of loyalty would be to home territory, with possible sympathy to another one, and outright hatred to another (like the old joke about Favorite sports team: My 2 favorite are team X and whoever is beating team Y)... another factor to consider is would a word of mouth fan base on line have allowed the other companies to survive

also in a 3 way fight, it reduces the fanaticism that is present in a 1-1 match up

and yes, no doubt the flame wars would have erupted from fan boys who refused to see that Andre was on the downward slope of his career... not to mention what would have happened when Vince started buying up talent (and would he have bought the contracts that he did, knowing that the internet wouldn't allow the re-packaging that he did with a lot of his talent in the late 80's)

It's not the Internet that ruined wrestling it was the dirt sheets like The Observer, which were around (in printed form) long before it become a big website and pay e-wrestling newsite
