How long is it socially acceptable to be a wrestling fan? Until you are 20? 25? 30?

At what point does it become embarassing for you?

It became kind of embarassing for me right around 15. So I stopped watching for a few years. Then I started getting back into it around 19. By that time I realized it doesnt matter what other people think. Besides, if your cool with yourself and cool with everyone else then people generally dont care what your interests are. Unless were talking about people who are dick heads and go around judging people all the time. You know, the insecure jackoffs. You know the type, right?

I don't give a fvck what anyone thinks about me being a fan. I'm older than the ages you listed, openly discuss being a fan...and I've been a fan since before there was ever a WWE/WWF. Since all the Von Erichs were alive. Yes, I'm that old. And damn proud to let eveyone know exactly how much I love wrestling for what it is...entertainment. With lots of hot oiled up guys...well some not so hot, but still.

For a few years, I dressed as Chyna on Halloween, complete with a belt around my waist. My husband continues to dress as Rey Mysterio...he has a high-quality mask and we've been looking for good replica pants.

Embarrassment would be showing up in costume as your favorite wrestler with a replica championship belt that cost more than $500. Now that is taking fanboyism too far.

....I hope you fall off the bandwagon and break your neck attempting to be hardcore.....

now this is just sad.....it would be even worse if it was just an ordinary mark

Well I love wrestling and I am 15 years old. Other kids my age don't like wrestling because it's fake. I always get into arguments defending wrestling. I just love it. I have loved it since I saw my first match live in 2002 when WWF Raw came to my hometown. It is entertaining. What other show can you watch with guys being put through tables, getting hit by chairs, and falling of ladders ? The one thing I always say to people who hate it is yes it's scripted but those guys put their health on the line to entertain loyal fans. Do you watch movies ? Movies are fake!!!!!
