Default Why do most people believe The Streak is overshadowing The Undertaker's other accomplishments?

Look, The Streak is his claim to fame, okay? HBK's claim to fame is his Mr. Wrestlemania moniker, but it's not like people forgot his legendary feuds. Same with Triple H, his claim to fame is his 13 title reigns but it's not like people forget his other legacies.

The Undertaker's Streak is his claim to fame, not overshadowing his other legacies. What do u hope to the commentators to note his accomplishments with whenever they state in on TV:

1. The Undertaker's gimmick last for two decades - Yeah, right. Breaking the kayfabe, nice. BTW, Ric Flair's Nature Boy gimmick lasts longer than The Undertaker's gimmick.

2. The Undertaker has faced every greats in WWE - Right, and so were Triple H Shawn Michaels. Feeling special?

3. The Undertaker is a seven time transitional world champion! - Big deal, even Edge got more title reigns than him.

4. The Undertaker invented Hell In A Cell, Casket Match, Buried Alive, and Last Ride Match - Remember our talk about breaking kayfabe? And it's not like anyone other than him never invented gimmick matches.

You see, a claim to fame is a noteworthy achievement because only one or few people has ever achieved it. Gimmicks, title reigns, feuds, and specialized matches...there are many people who have achieved the same feat. But being undefeated at The Grandest Stage of Them All for nearly two decades? Name me one man who got the same feat and I might consider taking my words back. The closest is RVD and that too only 6-0, not even half of 17-0. Seriously, saying The Streak overshadows his other accomplishments is ridiculous...

WWE mostly referred to Shawn Michaels with his Mr. Wrestlemania legacy and Triple H with his 13 title reigns yet no one seems to complain...

Dude, HBK defeated Taker at Bad Blood 1997 and Royal Rumble 1998 before.

Well because that's all the WWE ever throws up whenever they mention the Undertaker. It's all he is becoming famous for. That's his niche right there. It may actually destroy his legacy, rather than help shape it.

THE STREAK IS OVERRATED. IT'S ONLY TWENTY MATCHES WHICH IS LESS THAN THE AMOUNT OF DAYS THERE ARE IN A MONTH.

title reigns dont mean as much as they used to though, the only people in the wwe at the moment who deserve their titles reigns are jericho, cm punk, orton, hbk and taker,

cena, edge, batista and espeically hhh have had well 2 many title reigns, especially considering how long some of the games and cena's reigns where

the streak is just something special, like ric flairs 16 world titles it will never be bettered

Ok i can see your point. But if Taker wins,in your opinion, won't that overshadow HBKs whole career. It'll come down to one thing at the end.HBK was not good enough to beat Taker.HBK don't have reigns all he has is his performances which tends to be forgot when talking about great ones with title reigns and gimmicks. So i see why you say Taker needs to be 18-0.And that's great for Taker. What about HBK.he deserves more than just laying down for people all the time
