In my opinion, The Rock owns Professional Wrestling. He is the absolute best of all time. I just wish he'd take a break from acting and come back for awhile, but I seriously doubt that will ever happen.

In their prime they were both awesome. I remember the first fued they had over the intercontinental championship. The one where rocky looked at his pager and it said Austin 3:16. I think Stone Cold shades it though!

Oh my God, I just answered the Batista/Eddie question, now I get in the biggest Wrestling debate ever: Stone Cold or The Rock.
I think the biggest help in solving this debate is Wrestlemania XV, the grandest stage of them all. Stone Cold Steve Austin was able to defeat the Rock in the Main Event for the WWE Championship. Then Austin did it AGAIN at WM X-Seven in 2001. At WM XIX, the Rock pulled off a nice win, I'll admit it...but then got squashed by Goldberg the next night. The Rock, while popular, wasn't as instrumental in the ultimate decider as Austin was: The Monday Night War. Austin vs. McMahon trumped the nWo, and then Mick Foley defeating the Rock for the WWE Championship sealed the deal on WCW. So while the Rock was instrumental, I'd say the Austin is the better wrestler. |

This question is easier than some people make it. It has to be the main Stone Cold Steve Austin. He is the pioner of the attitude era, he was the start of the attitude era. When he won the King of the Ring he started something, and all with one quote. You thumb your bible, you slap you phlasm. You talk about John 3:16...Well i say Austin 3:16 just whooped your ass!
I will agree that the Rock has had many great matches, but his greatest ever feud was with the great SCSA. If both men where to enter a ring at the same time Austin would get the biggest pop, period. |
