Default Big japan news (steiner, ring of honors, steve bradley and much more)

Yuji Nagata will be Mike Barton & Jim Steele's 6-man tag partner for New Japan's upcoming November-December "Triathlon Survivor" tour. Each tournament match will have a singles match for the first fall, a tag match for the second fall, and a 6-man tag for the third fall. Other teams in the tournament expected include Tatsumi Fujinami, Masa Chono, & Hiroyoshi Tenzan - Manabu Nakanishi, Osamu Nishimura, & Yutaka Yoshie - Kenzo Suzuki, Hiroshi Tanahashi, & Blue Wolf - Scott Norton, Rick Steiner, & Shin'ya Makabe - Tadao Yasuda, Ryushi Yanagisawa, & UFO/Foreign Army Masked Man #1 (Junji Hirata).

Kodo Fuyuki's independent show under the WEW banner on 11/4 did 2,000 paid at Yokohama Bunka Gym. The worked attendance was 4,300. Kintaro Kanemura won the WEW belt from Masato Tanaka in the main event. It was a bloody fight with a ton of weapons and a powerbomb-on-a-table spot. Shinjiro Ohtani's mystery partner for the show was Yusaku instead of Tatsuhito Takaiwa. [It says that the situation in Japan's wrestling sector is starting to reflect the American sector in that fans are not thrilled with the status quo of the big leagues and are looking for an alternative, no matter how bad it is or how little promotion there is.]

ARSION's main event for their 12/17 Komazawa Olympic Stadium show in Tokyo (8,000 seats) is Mariko Yoshida vs. Michiko Ohmukai for the Queen of ARSION title.

New Japan management (Tatsumi Fujinami, money man Tetsuo Baisho, etc.) will have talks with Kensuke Sasaki during mid-November to try to convince him to come back to New Japan.

Gen'ichiro Tenryu is not expected to work the WRESTLE-1 show on 11/17 at Yokohama Arena. Tenryu is playing the "tradition" card, saying that he's only focused for the upcoming Real World Tag League.

Masato Tanaka & Shinjiro Ohtani will not only act as wrestlers but will also act as talent scouts at the ROH 11/9 Philadelphia & Corino 11/10 Pottstown shows in Pennsylvania.

ZERO-ONE is attempting talks with TV Tokyo to get a national Japanese network TV slot for programming. Nakamura & Hashimoto (the two bosses of ZERO-ONE) are attempting to pitch their 12/15 Ryogoku Kokugikan (Sumo Hall) show in Tokyo as the first show to air as a test-pilot on TV Tokyo. Roddy Piper, Kodo Fuyuki, & Satoshi Kojima are expected to appear at the Ryogoku show. TV Tokyo is the same network that aired Colosseum 2000 (5/26/00) with Rickson Gracie vs. Masakatsu Funaki and made the rules process for that fight extremely difficult due to internal pressure and pressure from anti-TV violence advocates that were worried that Gracie/Funaki would be unsuitable for children to watch. TV Tokyo also aired WWF television in the past and censored parts of it before the network cancelled WWF programming. TV Tokyo was supposed to air the WWF 3/1/02 Yokohama Arena show but pulled the plug on it at the last minute for national airing. One month later, TV Tokyo ceased ties with the WWF for programming. In the 70s, TV Tokyo aired wrestling programming at Midnights on Mondays with famous names like Rusher Kimura (long before he became a comedy wrestler).

Steve Bradley, who has worked as a WWE developmental worker in America and in Puerto Rico, will get a big opportunity as he is in process of being scheduled to work for All Japan. The connection of Bradley to All Japan came through Kaz Hayashi. Bradley was supposed to work for All Japan's Tag League tour but is in the process of opening up a wrestling school, so he will work the January "New Year Giant Series" tour.
