Default Why do people ignore the fact the cena does put OVER talent?

Cena gets way too much unesscary hate from the IWC/YWC. His really not as bad as the smarks make him out to be. Sure his character is stale and needs a change but he can actually put on decent matches and can at times cut good promos (No one carries a match by themselves. It takes 2 wrestlers to make a match. Chris Jericho even stated that in his book).

And the names of talents his put over

Sheamus at TLC2009

Edge at New Years Revolution 2006 and Summerslam 2006 and Backlash 2009 and No Way Out 2009

Randy Orton at Hell In A Cell 2009, WM24, TLC2013 and Royal Rumble 2014

RVD at One Night Stand 2006

The Miz at WM27

Dolph Ziggler at TLC2012

CM Punk at MITB 2011 and Summerslam 2011

Daniel Bryan at Summerslam 2013

ADR at Vengeance 2011 and Hell In a Cell 2011

The Shield at Elimination Chamber 2013

He even put over Tensai and Curtis Axel.

And I see him putting over Bray Wyatt and Roman Regins in the future.

I am not a cena fan but he gets way too much hate from the smarks. There are way worse wrestlers out there or have been out there than Cena

Explain Damien Sandow? The Miz only won because of the Rock then Cena beat him the next two ppvs

None of those were clean victories. There ALWAYS some stupid excuse. Cena never put any of them over CLEAN.

Hmm... Your point seems true when you debate it like that. But, I don't agree however. Now I don't like Cena, but I'm going to be unbiased here. When you say you put over talent it means letting other superstars win over you so that they look impressive, now think, does Cena do that? The answer is no, Cena barely ever loses CLEANLY. See that's where your point is invalid, recently the last time Cena lost cleanly was to Daniel Bryan but even that Cena was told to be injured. A intervention win to an opponent doesn't put them over. So my point is Cena barely loses and even when he does lose he doesn't put anyone over cause its most likely by intervention. So, what I conclude is that the IWC is right, Cena doesn't truly put over talent.

Some people will just hate on him no matter what he does. He has put guys over in the past. Edge, HHH, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, Daniel Bryan, and even The Rock got clean wins over John Cena.

the booking doesn't.

poor Damian Sandow

FUN FACT: there is more to putting people over than just taking a lose. case at point on TNA Impact the World Champion Magnus lost to Eddie Edwards via submission clean but did not put him over. cause the writing for the next few weeks will IGNORE THAT IT EVER HAPPENED!

Some people don't understand that it's not Cena's ruling for if he wants to put talent over or not. He is the face of the company, and the WWE's most valuable asset. They say who wins and who loses. John Cena can't ask to step down because they wouldn't have anybody to replace him. Not only that, but as a competitor he wants the best competition and doesn't just want to hand somebody the torch.

I remember him saying on Austins Podcast how he likes putting other wrestlers into the spotlight when they deserve it, but he's simply not going to stand aside and let them take his spot. He wants his best to go up against their best, and when their best isn't good enough he wins. He mentioned one time in specific when he put Edge over and it failed miserably ratings and money wise, and that was all his decision.

I know none of these people understand this, but Cena wants to be the best of all-time. But that doesn't come by getting handed everything. He's said time and time again he works hard for what he's achieved, and the only way someone will take him down is if they work harder than him. Do you think Michael Jordan would have liked an easy rout to an NBA Championship? Or would he want to test himself and fight the other best team in the league. You guy's just don't get the competitive instinct guy's like Cena, Rock, Stone Cold, and Hogan have.

You don't get to be the best by sitting around living off your "potential". Other then all this, they won't let Cena lose to anyone clean because he's the top star they have. If you think he isn't, and Daniel Bryan is better then him, just think to yourself... who's more likely to win in a match between the two? When Bryan isn't the underdog going into that match (like how Rock and Stone Cold were equal), then Cena can step to the side and Bryan or somebody else could become the face of the company. To this point, nobody in the past eight year's besides the Rock has been on Cena's level where you could go either way with who could win.
