Default Professional Wrestling: So Total Nonstop Action's Gunner is now using an F-5?

Brock Lesnar's F-5 is a Spin-Out Fireman's Carry Facebuster

Gunner's Hanger 18 is a Fireman's Carry Facebuster

Asides missing the Spin-Out portion like Brock Lesnar does, 'Mr. Intensity' is now using the F-5.

Ferber: Point is to reinvent a previously done maneuver, for example. The Ace Crusher is completely different from the Diamond Cutter which was completely different from the RKO; same can be said for Bully Ray's Cutter as well. If you don't add anything, you are basically just reusing the maneuver; for Gunner as an example it's Total Nonstop Action treating Gunner like he's their Brock Lesnar or 'Next Big Thing'.

Candle Botches Internet: Really. There is no difference between Ace Crusher, Diamond Crusher, Bully Cutter, RKO; you clearly don't watch Professional wrestling.

I think he is. He needed a new finisher and that was one that fitted him. Yes Brock Lesnar is famous for using the F-5 but he's not the only one who uses the F-5.

In TCW (Traditnional Championship Wresttling) "Mr. Saturday Night" Michael Barry uses the F-5 as his finisher but he calls it the Saturday night finally.

I think it's okay if he does it for real. You have to be realistic. There's only so many finishers wrestlers can have before they start borrowing finishers from other wrestlers who has used it before them.

Just like when Robbie E. used the face cutter and every one said he stole it from the RKO from Randy Orton when it was clear that it was taken from DDP Diamon Dallas Page or the originator Johnny Ace or Mr. John Lauriniatus who called it the Ace Chrusher when it was his finishing move.

Kevin Steen also uses an F-5. Brock Lesnar doesn't own the move.

And no, there really aren't any innovations to the Ace Crusher. DDP did it straight up Johnny Ace style, as does Bully, as does Randy Orton.

If wrestlers started suing for 'finisher infringement', then Japan would be rolling in the dough. There's no shame in doing the same move as someone else. Hell, Danno O'Mahony would own the WWE and every other company in the world for the use of 'his' Irish Whip. Same goes for Jake Roberts and the DDT.

If your point is 'innovate' or 'to make it your own', then you, yourself, pointed out the differences between how Gunner does the move in comparison to how Lesnar does the move. Gunner also did the Torture Rack as a finisher, calling it the 'gun rack'. Do you think he owes Lugar residuals or something? What is your point?

He's used the move ever since he debuted a few years ago. Yes it's most famously used by Brock Lesner, but that doesn't necessarily mean he owns the move. People also have their own versions for how they do it, even though Gunner's is pretty much the same. Just as long as you don't call it the F-5 or anything similar to that, it's fine with me.
