Default WRESTLING : Why do ignorant fans wait till a certain superstar dies, then claim they are

fans and lie? I mean

it really sickens me all this time viscera has existed all these years

and now that he's dead, im hearing many fans claiming he was one of the greatest

when its actually not true

Im not hating or anything, im just a realist that speaks the truth

R.I.P to viscera....yes

But once again....my question is why do ignorant fans choose to pay mind to

a wrestler only when they're dead ?.....and not alive

I guess it could go to the saying "You take it for granted until it's gone". I wasn't the biggest fan of Viscera, I thought he was a cool character, but I wasn't a fan of him majorly. I think it's an emotional thing, no one likes people passing away and I think it pulls at the heart strings that we won't ever see a Big Daddy V return or the World's Largest Love Machine back now.

when someone dies, it triggers emotions. his fans want to make sure that their hero is appreciated enough, so some will call him the greatest, the best, whatever... but it's emotional reaction. more than anything.

RIP the worlds largest love machine

Amen. Preach. I got a bad response for laughing at a Viscera fat joke yesterday (too soon I guess) but on that same note, whenever we have favorite wrestler discussions, great big men in the ring or anything of that nature, nobody ever brought up his name. As a matter of fact, when he was alive, a majority of the time all I heard was negativity when it came to breaking down his character/wrestling.

What it boils down to is 2 things that get on my mother*cking nerves: the first is the IWC lying about sh*t to themselves. The other is people in general fake caring about sh*t. We all know that in about a day or so that this is going to be in the back of everybodys head. You dont have to fake care just because its politically correct. Be yourselves, motherf*ckers. If you didnt shout out the man when he was alive or like him for that matter, dont do it now because it seems right. Be a free thinker and stop letting routine MOs dictate your thought process.

I completely agree. Actually I got 2 thumbs down (just yesterday) because when someone posted a "question" saying BDV had died and how much of a loss it was to the wrestling world and how much everyone loved and was gonna miss him, I just said "cant say I'm surprised. RIP" and people thumbed me down because unlike them I didn't lie or pretended to love him...

The truth is some (a lot of) people are stupid and (just like Rocky Daye said) fake care because it's politically correct. It may not be true but it's "the right thing to do". I mean, I get that this sort of thing (death) brings out the humanity and empathy in us and we think about what if it had been a loved one... I totally understand people giving their condolences but come on, lying, pretending, saying he was a wrestling giant and will be loved and missed by all, it's BS.

Ugh, let's face facts here, Viscera was over-weight, I could go on a rant but since the man just die, I'll stay classy, he died because he was fat, in poor shape, and it isn't a shocker by any means!

He didn't deserve to be pushed, WWE should of never brought him back as Big Daddy V, because he was in bad shape then, you hear stories all the time about WWE pressuring guys to get into shape, why was Big Daddy V accepted, I don't know, he wasn't great, he was just huge!
