There is no difference, yet people act like there is a major difference. I don't see people talking about Spoilers for Movies/Television show or Books, or how they are Scripted/Fake; so what is the difference between Movies/Television Shows & Books and Professional Wrestling? Are people simple, Daft.

Wrestling is fighting and the everyday norm is fighting should be real. Social Darwinism.

Allow me to indulge you in this answer. Simple, they're just narrow minded people who fail to understand the word "Entertainment" which Vince has attached to his company's name. Pro Wrestling is a rehearsed and scripted event which is marketed as an entertainment under the guise of a sport. For many people its hard to grasp onto this concept. They believe that WWE is a sport just like MMA and NASCAR but "fake" and this is why it receives so much ignorance.

Some are just trolling though, they fully understand what it is, but want to crack jokes at it. At this point if they don't understand the difference between what is fake and what is scripted then I think THEY are dumb, not the wrestling fans.

People who don't watch Pro wrestling seem to think that their uncovering some huge scandal by declaring that Pro wrestling is fake/scripted. The WWE doesn't hide anymore that their program is scripted. There is no difference between the WWE and every movie/TV show out there. It just so happens that in every TV show and movie, you have actors that follow a script, you also have trained professionals that attempt dangerous stunts. WWE is similar, wrestlers follow a script and are trained to perform dangerous moves/stunts for our entertainment.

??????? D?????????? ??????? has a correct answer, but I will add a few comments.

Many movies involve good acting, and movies and books have some reasonably complex scripts and the entertainment value is not watching a couple of overgrown guys beating on each other. At least amateur wrestling and professional boxing are real.

Vince does control the WWE fully. He has controlling interest in the corporation via his Preferred B Shares with 10 votes each. That is in case anyone has an idea that it may have some reality to it.

why do people apologize for WWE pushing children's programming then get mad when people point out the obvious that said material will never ever be accepted?

why does WWE promote Be A Star when Mr. McMahon literally made people kiss his but and Stephanie McMahon made Big Show cry? why does WWE want to act like "oh we make movies" but in public want to do charities and backtrack when people say well on television on Monday Night you did this and that.....how is that a good example for the children?

everything is a double standard.
