Default Why do people keep saying WWE is scripted and fake?

That's stupid. They are professional wrestlers. They risk their lives every match to achieve titles or to defend their honor. Not to mention that wrestling takes a toll on your body. Like Edge who hung his boots up early thanks to cervical spinal stenosis, a result of spearing rock-solid men and leaping off ladders. How can that be scripted dumb*ss?

Scripted in that the outcomes of the matches are determined to adhere to a narrative...but the physical exertion and toll on the body is undoubted.

It's half scripted. The drama is scripted, and often times the fights are predetermined. However, they are exchanging real blows in the ring.

Because they want to rub their d*cks and make themselves look smart by insulting us.

It IS scripted. The rivalries, the gimmicks, the good vs. bad, those are scripted. When they fight, the outcome of the match was decided beforehand. They way they fight is designed so they do as little lasting damage to each other as possible, though of course when doing stunts like they do, lasting injuries are common. The danger is real, but it's still scripted.

"I wept because I had no shoes, until I saw a man who actually believes that WWE is not scripted."?

It's scripted. Match outcomes, the rivalries, the storyline, it's all scripted. That's why they call it "sports entertainment". Yes it is very physical. But they train for it. There is technique to it all. And there is a reason you don't see ladder matches every single week on RAW. Their bodies can't handle it, and it's risky.

It is scripted. Yes they do incredible stunts but they're not actually wrestling. And the outcome and basic fight progression is determined before the match even starts.

Because fighting is not so easy and they are not hurt while they fight.

The results of each match is scripted and the time for matches is already decided. They do not fight each other just put on a performance for the people to watch. So yes it is scripted. Sometimes wrestlers get hurt while doing some moves or sometimes by taking other wrestlers move which do happens sometime. But nowadays it is reduced to a larger extent as compared to the attitude era. Besides the promos are also scripted except like when dusty rhodes put his hand infront of stephnie mcmahon, that was out of script.
